I must say it was one of the most beautiful Spanish cities I have ever visited with a beautiful old town. It's also in very good condition and has so many beautiful old trees and palm trees around. At night Tokyo is really a spectacle of lights and in my opinion it looks just as good as if it would in daylight. In Hungary work started on the M43 back in 2005 and was completed some time in 2015 completing a full motorway connection to the border with Romania. The M43 has a total length of 59 kilometers. Since Romania is not in Shengen (for land border traffic) yet, there are still passport checks at the border here causing delays. Waiting time for us was about 40 minutes. On the other side of the border the A1 takes over and the first bigger city on the route is Arad. In total we cover almost 100 kilometers on this drive through landscapes that are not all too exciting. Oppenheim is a smaller town on the Rhine not too far from Mainz. You may recognize the name from the similarly named blockbuster 'Oppenheimer'. Even to-date the N11 doesn't have a fully grade-separated alignment from Leiden to Bodegraven. Around Alphen a/d Rijn, the largest city on the road between Leiden and Bodegraven, there are at grade junctions with traffic lights. The N11 effectively connects motorways A4 and A12 through the West of the country although the junction with the A12 near Bodegraven is also something quite special. This is one of the two main access ways crossing the Tejo river into the Portuguese capital Lisbon. The other one is the A2 further South that crosses the Tejo at a narrower point. I will feature that crossing of the Ponte de 25 Abril (which looks a lot like the Golden Gate bridge) in a future video. In this video we cross the Ponte Vasco da Gama, named after the famous Portuguese explorer. The bridge has a slow build-up of a few kilometers until the more good looking part with the cables which is higher up. This is where ships can pass. I was lucky with the sunset in the background, the backdrop when crossing the last part of the bridge with Lisbon in the background was quite amazing. I was less fortunate with the traffic though, which makes this video much more longer than it needed to be. I cut out most of the traffic jam part to not bore you. The A40 Ruhrautobahn is an urban Autobahn connecting some of the bigger cities in the Ruhrgebiet (large urban and industrial area named after the Ruhr river). It stretches from Dortmund in the East to the border with the Netherlands in the West. This international corridor for the Netherlands is therefore especially busy with truck traffic. The A67 in the Netherlands is known for its large share in truck traffic. By extension via the A58 and A16 highways it passes the largest cities in the Noord-Brabant province and ultimately leads to Rotterdam, the largest seaport in Europe. The border city Venlo also has many distribution centers that further push the share of truck traffic in the area. What was especially challenging in recent years was the closure of RheinbrÃ¼cke Neuenkamp at Duisburg for heavy truck traffic due to extensive wear of the bridge. This is unfortunately a massive problem across Germany but at least here the bridge remained open with reduced capacity for light traffic only. A few months ago the first span of the new bridge opened to traffic so the span that we are driving across in this video is now in the process of being demolished and ultimately replaced as well. The A-48 follows the Andalusian coastline and ends near the city of Cadiz where a couple of local highways (lettered CA) connect directly to the city. We returned from a day trip to Gibraltar on this particular day and spent the evening in Cádiz. I must say it was one of the most beautiful Spanish cities I have ever visited with a beautiful old town. It's also in very good condition and has so many beautiful old trees and palm trees around. ··· ··· ··· ··· In this video you can ride along on Shutoku expressway 11 and Circle 1 (counter-clockwise) from Ariake JCT to Edobashi JCT in Tokyo, Japan. This must have been one of the most impressive urban city highway drives I have done so far with an unmatched view of Tokyo from the massive Rainbow bridge. The 11 expressway is a fairly short one and mainly comprises of the rainbow bridge leading into the city from the Bayshore route. It connects to Circle 1, the well-known inner city beltway or ring road that I featured on this channel before (more videos to come!). At night Tokyo is really a spectacle of lights and in my opinion it looks just as good as if it would in daylight. In Hungary work started on the M43 back in 2005 and was completed some time in 2015 completing a full motorway connection to the border with Romania. The M43 has a total length of 59 kilometers. Since Romania is not in Shengen (for land border traffic) yet, there are still passport checks at the border here causing delays. Waiting time for us was about 40 minutes. On the other side of the border the A1 takes over and the first bigger city on the route is Arad. In total we cover almost 100 kilometers on this drive through landscapes that are not all too exciting. The B9 is a major national road that traverses many different cities throughout the West of Germany between the borders with France in the South and the Netherlands more towards the North. I have driven almost the entire B9 with the exception of some parts in Nordrhein-Westfalen. The B9 mainly follows the Rhine river on its way North. Oppenheim is a smaller town on the Rhine not too far from Mainz. You may recognize the name from the similarly named blockbuster 'Oppenheimer'. The N11 is kind of an odd expressway that I believe was once planned as a motorway (A3?) but this never came to fruition. Even to-date the N11 doesn't have a fully grade-separated alignment from Leiden to Bodegraven. Around Alphen a/d Rijn, the largest city on the road between Leiden and Bodegraven, there are at grade junctions with traffic lights. The N11 effectively connects motorways A4 and A12 through the West of the country although the junction with the A12 near Bodegraven is also something quite special. ··· ··· ··· ··· In this video you can ride along on Route 42 between the towns of Koza and Tanami in Japan's Wakayama region. Route 42 more or less follows the coastline and is quite scenic. What was interesting to me and what you can especially see when driving in this area is that beaches and that kind of tourism are not really popular in Japan. Instead the mostly rugged coastlines are full of these large concrete blocks that function as wave breakers. In most parts of the world this would be considered prime real estate however in Japan living at the sea doesn't seem to be all that popular. In the future this part of Route 42 can be bypassed via the E42 expressway which is still partly under construction. It will be a 1 x 1 that is further off the coast. ··· ··· ··· ··· In this video you can ride along on Autobahnen A59 & A40 E34 and Rijksweg A67 (E34) from Duisburg in Germany to Venlo in the Netherlands. There are quite a few highway border crossings between both countries in this area and I have featured most of them on the channel already. This one was missing however. The A40 Ruhrautobahn is an urban Autobahn connecting some of the bigger cities in the Ruhrgebiet (large urban and industrial area named after the Ruhr river). It stretches from Dortmund in the East to the border with the Netherlands in the West. This international corridor for the Netherlands is therefore especially busy with truck traffic. The A67 in the Netherlands is known for its large share in truck traffic. By extension via the A58 and A16 highways it passes the largest cities in the Noord-Brabant province and ultimately leads to Rotterdam, the largest seaport in Europe. The border city Venlo also has many distribution centers that further push the share of truck traffic in the area. What was especially challenging in recent years was the closure of Rheinbrücke Neuenkamp at Duisburg for heavy truck traffic due to extensive wear of the bridge. This is unfortunately a massive problem across Germany but at least here the bridge remained open with reduced capacity for light traffic only. A few months ago the first span of the new bridge opened to traffic so the span that we are driving across in this video is now in the process of being demolished and ultimately replaced as well. ··· ··· ··· ··· In this video you can ride along on Autopista AP-7 E15 & Autovía A-7, V-30 from Villareal [Castellón de la Plana] to Valencia on the east coast of Spain. The AP-7 is a long (former) toll road that has a total length of about 920 kilometers. It follows the mediterranean coast of Spain from the border with France to Malaga in the South. There are a few interruptions however, the first one being near Valencia where it flows into the parallel A-7. The A-7 was kept alongside the AP-7 to serve as a local toll-free highway. However, many parts of the AP-7 became toll free in recent years so now there is the odd case of having 2 more or less similar highways next to each other along the mediterranean coast. Valencia is Spain's 3rd biggest city and is known for its architecture and oranges (and many other things). The E76, if not one of the most scenic expressways of Japan, is definitely one of the most impressive roads in Japan in terms of engineering and infrastructure design. The E76 connects Onomichi on Honshu (Japan's main island) with Imabari on Japan's Ehime island. On the way it traverses many smaller islands which are connected via some large and impressive bridges. It may not look like it at first sight, but this is quite an important international corridor between Romania and Bulgaria, which is why it's a 2x2 road (and expressway in some places). The road has been continuously upgraded in various places over the last year. I drove this road the first time 10 years ago when some of the towns weren't bypassed yet. Now it's also accessible via the A0 ring road of Bucharest. The segment between the A1 on the West and DN5 on the South was opened recently. In this video you can still see it under construction as we pass by the future interchange. Giurgiu is a city on the Danube river, which separates Romania and Bulgaria. It has quite a 'dense' network of Autobahns around it given its size. There is also the A480 that completes the ring around Gießen together with the A45 and A5. Marburg is also a middle-sized city with over 70.000 inhabitants and a beautiful castle overlooking the city. ··· ··· ··· ··· In this video you can ride along on national road I-6 E871 from Kazanlak (Kazanluk) to Karlovo south of the Balkan mountain range in central Bulgaria. The I-6 is an important West-East connection in Bulgaria although it lost some of its significance as a through-route when the A1 Trakia highway from Sofia to Burgas opened. Kazanlak is a smaller city in the 'valley of roses', just South of the central Balkans mountain range. I didn't visit the city itself but stayed in a hotel on the outskirts with views of the mountains. The mountains in this area are actually quite impressive, with Botev peak being the highest at 2376 meters above sea level. We don't quite reach the town of Karlovo but instead take an exit not too far before the town in the direction of Plovdiv (South). The A12 runs in parallel to the A1 E19, which is the main highway between both cities. I have featured this part of the A1 on the channel before: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VGfa7Km5k4 I was curious about the A12, which looks like a highway through and through on the map. However, as you will quickly notice in the video, it's a mix of limited access expressway, highway as well as local city road with traffic lights. It passes through some urban areas between Belgium's two biggest cities and therefore carries a lot of local traffic. The N177 mostly runs in parallel and there are regular exits to connect the 2. This is definitely one of the more odd highways I have driven in my life. Please note that the map and thumbnail are not entirely accurate. After passing the border the N35 takes over on the Dutch side, partly bypassing the city of Enschede on the border. Then comes a segment of A35 (expanded to highway standards what was previously N35) that later on shares a stretch of highway with the A1 from Knooppunt Buren Northwest of Hengelo. A35 continues on its own again a short while later from Knooppunt Azelo. ··· ··· ··· ··· In this video you can ride along on national route N222 in the beautiful Douro valley from Pinhão to Peso da Régua in Eastern Portugal. This area of Portugal is especially known for its Port wineries. When staying in Porto I felt like venturing out to the port-making region of Portugal and enjoy some of the best Portuguese scenery. The many steep green vineyards and picturesque towns in this area are absolutely worth seeing. There are river cruises from Porto that go into this direction but as you may notice in the video there is a dam at some point, where I'm not sure river cruise ships can pass. We visited one of the most renowned port wineries in the area and opted for a cellar tour, which was very nice indeed. It was also a very warm day, with average temperatures above 37 degrees celsius, even the wind was warm 😅 Then we got lucky with this beautiful sunset as we headed back towards Porto. ··· ··· ··· ··· In this video you can ride along on Autobahn A2 E34 & Autobahn A45 from Recklinghausen to Dortmund. Because of the dense network of Autobahns in the Ruhr area there are many options to get to Dortmund, but some of the Autobahns are in bad condition. Noteworthy are the A42 and A43 in this area, where typically some older bridges are in a bad state and need urgent replacing. In some cases some traffic is still allowed at a much decreased speed limit or just truck traffic is banned. This is regulated through weight stations ahead of the bridge, which are in place on several locations on the A43 & A42. However, recently they had to permanently close a segment of the A42 for all traffic, meaning that the surrounding Autobahns A40 and A2 are going to need to handle a lot more traffic the upcoming years. The R-21 and R-20 are regional roads cutting through the mountains of Montenegro, connecting the towns of Kolašin and Šavnik. The road surface is not in a great state and the road seems to be largely unmaintained in many places. In many places there is debris and rocks that I have to dodge, I'm actually surprised that I never had to get out to remove something off the road before continuing. The A553 is a 'Zubringerautobahn' that bypasses the city of Brühl South of Cologne and connects to the A61 and A1 at Kreuz Bliesheim. Following the B51 out of the city, we still pass a few outskirts that belong to the city of Cologne before entering the Autobahn. From Kreuz Bliesheim we take the A1 West in the direction of Trier. Just North of Bliesheim, a few kilometers of Autobahn is shared by the A1 and A61, as the A1 joins the A61 from the direction of Cologne just North of Erftstadt. This is kind of an odd connection, since the missing link of the A4 South of Rotterdam was never built. It was also not until some 10 odd years ago, other missing segments of the A4 were built. For instance the A4 between Rotterdam and Delft / Den Haag, as well as parts of the A4 North of Bergen op Zoom, which you can see in this video. Now the only missing link is still the A4 at Hoogvliet to Zuid-Beijerland. Currently the A29 carries all traffic but not without issues. Especially the Haringvlietbrug can be a problem when traffic is heavy. South of the bridge there is a short stretch of highway that is shared between the A29 and A59, and from Knooppunt Sabina (junction) the A4 takes over in the southern direction. Coming from the Circle 2, the second ring of Tokyo, we take the Ikebukuro route towards the city center. On the way a quick stop at a rest area, probably the smallest I have ever been to ;-) Shortly after passing Ikebukuro we get onto C1. This part I have featured in a previous video actually, but in daylight. At night it also looks very impressive. After just a short while on C1 we get onto Shutoko 4 and take the exit not too long after. Unfortunately visibility was poor which is a shame, since the Sauerland area is actually quite scenic. You can see from the tunnels and valley bridges that there is quite a bit of elevation on this route. The A46 through this area is not finished but the question is if it ever will be finished. South of Hamm at the town of Neheim, the A46 is supposed to branch off to the West. There is a missing link to Iserlohn / Hagen and then Wuppertal. ··· ··· ··· ··· In this video you can ride along on Autobahn A7 E45 from Northeim to Kassel via Göttingen. The A7 is Germany's longest Autobahn and has been widely featured on the channel. Never ending construction and renovation works have also plagued this section of the A7 for a long time. Kassel is a larger regional city and is connected with the rest of the country via the A7 as well as the A44. The A44 is still being built out in the eastern direction as of today, although progress has been notoriously slow here as well. A few small sections have been opened in recent decades but the finish line is still many years away. Once the new A44 East will be connected to the A7 at Kassel, the construction works involved will likely further impede traffic there. On the positive, it's always nice seeing Kassel in the distance when approaching from the North. You can really see the valley opening up as the height difference is quite significant for this region. The A36 is an Autoroute that connects the border with Germany in the East to the Route du Soleil (A6/A31) near Beaune South of Dijon. The A36 runs through the foothills of the Jura Mountains and passes some nice historical cities as well as world-renowned wine regions. Especially the Bourgogne region is known for its excellent wines, but also the vineyards around Besançon produce high quality wines. I never visited Besançon personally but it's on my list. Montbéliard is already quite a ways East in the country and perhaps most well-known for being home to automaker Peugeot. You can recognize some of its presence on the highway signs through Montbéliard. This is a first video of a series on Spain as I circled the Iberian peninsula earlier this year. Starting in the outskirts of Valencía, the A3 connects Spain's 3rd largest city with the inland where it's much less densely populated. There are some good wine regions not too far inland from Valencía as well. Utiel is a smaller city with over 10.000 inhabitants that sits on over 700 meters of elevation. The B54 is a limited-access expressway with mostly a 2x1 / 1x2 alignment. Near Münster the B54 has a short 2 x 2 segment before it dissolves and continues as a switching 2 x 1 - 1 x 2. The B54 is not as important as some of the other international corridors but it does carry a lot of local traffic and passes a few larger towns and cities like Steinfurt and Gronau. Interestingly some of the factories of Schmitz Cargobull are also on the B54 and there is even a separate exit dedicated to it. Schmitz Cargobull is one of the world's market leaders in trailer hatches for trucks, pretty much every second truck you see on European roads has the company's name on the rear. Münster itself is a historical city with over 270.000 inhabitants and lies just North of the Ruhr area, served by the A1 Autobahn. The Münster Dom, the city's cathedral, is a famous sight. Göteborg is the 2nd largest city of Sweden after capital Stockholm. It has a big sea port and vibrant industry. The infrastructure needs to grow with the city, which is why there is a lot of construction at the moment. The A5 is a peculiar Autobahn connecting some of the cities alongside the lakes of Biel / Bienne and Neuchâtel. Starting in the German speaking area of Switzerland, the A5 flows into the A1 / A9 at Yverdon in the French speaking part of Switzerland. The A5 is approximately 100 kilometers long and I'm not sure if it will ever be fully completed. It's been challenging upgrading the old route to a motorway standard as you can also see by the curvy and tight alignment through Biel / Bienne and Neuchâtel. The H5 from Biel / Bienne alongside the lake will also be challenging to upgrade. The other one is the A13, which I featured before in this video: https://youtu.be/-7rVtKBXvm0 The A64 is actually not a full-profile Autobahn in some places and rather an upgraded Bundesstraße. You can see that in some parts they still left the yellow Bundesstraße signs although the road is shown and signed as the A64. The Moselbrücke Ehrang (Bridge across the Mosel at Trier-Ehrang) is still 1x2 and would be quite costly to upgrade sometime in the future. Trier is a historical city nestled between green hills and vineyards. Highlights include the Porta Nigra and other remnants of ancient roman times. ··· ··· ··· ··· In this video you can ride along on the E2 Sanyo Expressway from Hiroshima-higashi to Kochi in Japan. The San'yō Expressway is a 447 km long expressway with a 406 km main part that runs from Kobe to Yamaguchi. The E2 also bypasses the cities of Hiroshima, Okayama and Fukuyama, making it an important link connecting many big metro areas southwest of Osaka-Kyoto on the way to Kagoshima. The surroundings in this part of Japan were very green and as we are more South, it's noticeable that some of the vegetation looks a bit more tropical in general. Interestingly the E2A Chūgoku Expressway pretty much runs in parallel to the E2 expressway, but is located more inland. It's actually longer with a total length of about 540 kilometers and was inaugurated in 1970. It was probably the original E2 until the main part of the San'yō Expressway was finished in 1997. The A27 is one of the North-South corridors in central the Netherlands, running from Breda in the South to Almere North of Utrecht (central the Netherlands). The A27 has been congested for decades and expansion has been proven difficult at various parts of the A27, including some of the larger bridges spanning the rivers. Widening of the A27 in some locations has also been met with heavy opposition, like at the Ring in Utrecht. This part of the B9 is a 2 x 2 expressway that runs parallel to some other main Bundestraße arteries and of course the many Autobahns in this region (A61, A6-A67, A5). Wörth am Rhein is a well-known industrial city with a larger port on the Rhine river. Daimler Truck AG has a huge plant here, for which even separate exits on the B9 exist. Further Daimler Truck plants are in Germersheim, North of Wörth am Rhein. Speyer is has a nice historical old town. This is one of the possible routes one can take when travelling from Slovenia to the Istrian Peninsula in Croatia. There are alternative routes but in general a really viable international corridor is still missing. These problems become especially evident in the peak tourist season during the summer months. Koper is a small port city in Slovenia and is the place where the A1 highway ends. It continues a bit further as an expressway (H6) but then turns to the regular provincial road alignment. The Croatian A9 is also not fully built to the border with Slovenia and starts right outside of Plovanija. Welcome to my first upload from Japan, starting in the massive capital and urban agglomeration of Tokyo. Starting at Tokyo Station, we make our way onto the C1 inner circular expressway before heading West on the Shinjuku Route expressway. This was a completely new experience for me, the narrow urban expressways but also driving on the left in general. Passing the urban area of Shinjuku with its many skyscrapers was really impressive. Since the speed limits are fairly low in Japan it was quite easy to adjust. Pula is a port city with about 60.000 inhabitants in the South of Istria, Croatia. Rovinj is a historical town on the Adriatic, not too far from the Gulf of Trieste. The old town is pretty much car free and is very well-preserved. I have been there a couple of times and it's always magical to watch the sunset from there. Returning in the evening from a visit to Portofino, part of the Autostrada was closed off for construction work so we were forced to drive through the center of Genova. Bundesstraße 10 is one of the most featured Bundesstraßen on this channel and this was a part of B10 that I hadn't shown yet. The B10 is one of the main traffic 'veins' of Stuttgart and mostly has a 2 x 2 alignment in Stuttgart's urban area. After passing the A81 Stuttgart - Zuffenhausen AS (Anschlussstelle), the B10 quickly scales down to a 1 x 1 alignment. The towns and cities into this direction are moderate in size and could possibly do with 2 x 2 alignment all the way but this is likely a dream that will not become reality for at least another few decades if at all. Fylkesvei 60 is an alternative route to the E39 in the direction of Ålesund, passing the town of Stranda. Hellesylt is a well-known town with a ferry port and cruiseship docking terminal at the end of the Sunnylvsfjorden, near where the fjord meets the famous Geirangerfjord. At the start of the video, we just exit the scenic ferry between Geiranger and Hellesylt. The 60-minute ferry ride is not cheap but a must if you want to take in all the views of the Geirangerfjord. Alongside the route just outside Hellesylt there is an opportunity to park and take in the view of the Geierangerfjord from a distance. The Geirangerfjord is on the UNESCO world heritage list and one of the most popular fjords in Norway for tourists. Stranda, further North and situated on the Storfjorden, is rather known for its excellent ski slopes and is therefore a popular skiing destination. Starting on the recently opened 'Rotterdamsebaan' city route that connects the center of Den Haag to the A13, it's only a short distance to Rotterdam and the junction with the A20. To alleviate some of the rather few city entry routes of Den Haag, the third-largest city of the Netherlands with over 500.000 inhabitants, in February of 2021 the Rotterdamsebaan was opened. The city route (S107) features the new 'Victory Boogie-Woogie Tunnel', an 1860-meter long twin-tube tunnel that runs partly under the Hague and metropolitan city Voorburg. The tunnel was named after a popular artwork of Piet Mondriaan. The speed limit in the tunnel is 70 km/h and the tunnel was constructed according to the latest design and technology standards. Built for an expected average daily traffic (AADT) of about 38.000 vehicles, an average of 30.000 vehicles used the tunnel in 2021. The S107 connects to the A13, although not very fluently. There is a junction with traffic lights before you can get onto the motorway. The A13 is an urban motorway connecting the cities of The Hague and Rotterdam. Before the missing link of the A4 between the Hague and Rotterdam was opened, the A13 was handling a ton of traffic and traffic jams were quite usual. The A13 is still heavy on traffic, but the opening of the A4 a decade ago made quite a difference. It's nearly impossible to further expand capacity on the A13, so instead new routes are built to alleviate the motorway of some of the through traffic. The A13-A16 connection is currently under construction, a new part of the North Rotterdam beltway, connecting the A16 East of the city directly to the A13 North of the city. This will mainly alleviate traffic on the A20 North of the city, as this motorway is one of the most traffic jammed roads of the country and very much capacity-strained. Passing through urban areas, it's also pretty much impossible to expand capacity on the A20. Trollstigen is probably the most well-known mountain pass in Norway and is highly popular among tourists. The serpentine mountain road freely translates to the 'Troll path or Troll's ladder'. A rest stop down in the valley has a couple of troll statues and there is also a lot of troll merchandise on sale in the visitor's center on top :) The visitor center was hit by a late season avalanche and rock slide last year, pretty much wiping out a major part of it. When we were there in the early summer season, the shop and toilets were open but the rest was a construction site. The max elevation of the pass is around 850 meters and there are some constructed walking routes with viewing decks over the pass and valley behind the visitor's center. This is an attraction on its own, as the walking paths and viewing decks are really well done. Don't forget to stop and take in all the views. Despite the maximum elevation of 'only' 850 meters, Trollstigen is only passable for about 4-5 months a year. In mid-June, you can see that there is still a large amount of snow and the pass had only opened 1-2 weeks before, at the very end of May. The temperature was 1 degrees celsius at 850 meters elevation, so dress warm. The pass has a steep grade of around 10% and 11 hairpin bends. Trollstigen was constructed between 1928 and 1936 and is being traversed by about 180.000 vehicles per year. #trollstigen #mountainpass #fv63

It's currently not planned to extend the A7 further North. The A7 is therefore more a local motorway with less international through traffic compared to the A3, A1, A13 & A6 motorways. It does have some impressive infrastructure, including multiple long tunnels. Ettelbruck is a small town with just over 6.000 inhabitants but because of Luxembourg's size, officially the 8th largest place in Luxembourg. Most of the 'larger' towns are in the South of Luxembourg though, explaining why the motorway does not continue beyond Ettelbruck. Koper is the focal point of the A1 on Slovenia's short stretch of Adriatic coast. At Koper the road shortly continues as a 2 x 2 expressway (H6) before dissolving into a regular B-road serving some of the resort towns on the coast. Traffic on the A1 has increased drastically over the past decade or so, especially the share of truck traffic. When heading North the first part of B9 after leaving Koblenz is a controlled access 2 x 2 expressway until the town of Bad Breisig. Koblenz is a larger city in the area so there is quite some traffic from surrounding towns and cities flowing in and out of Koblenz every day, explaining the 2 x 2 alignment. Andernach is one of the larger satellite cities being bypassed by the B9. There is however a bottleneck as you can clearly see at the town of Bad Breisig. Although at the time of this video worsened through a local construction site, I can imagine that it's not ideal to have a fairly big Bundesstraße like the B9 running straight through the town. We pretty much barely moved for about 30 minutes. We continue the drive to Sinzig, a smaller city that is about half way the distance between the cities of Koblenz and Bonn.
