Driving in Romania: DN5 E70 E85 from Bucharest to Giurgiu

In this video you can ride along on drumul national (DN) DN5 E70 E85 from the capital Bucharest to North of Giurgiu in the South of Romania. It may not look like it at first sight, but this is quite an important international corridor between Romania and Bulgaria, which is why it's a 2x2 road (and expressway in some places).
The road has been continuously upgraded in various places over the last year. I drove this road the first time 10 years ago when some of the towns weren't bypassed yet. Now it's also accessible via the A0 ring road of Bucharest. The segment between the A1 on the West and DN5 on the South was opened recently. In this video you can still see it under construction as we pass by the future interchange.
Giurgiu is a city on the Danube river, which separates Romania and Bulgaria. In a future video I will feature the DN5D and the crossing of the Danube into Bulgaria.
