Driving in Hungary and Romania: Autópálya M43 & Autostrada A1 E68 from Szeged to Arad

In this video you can ride along on Autópálya M43 E68 & Autostrada A1 E68 from Szeged in Hungary to Arad in Romania. In Hungary work started on the M43 back in 2005 and was completed some time in 2015 completing a full motorway connection to the border with Romania. The M43 has a total length of 59 kilometers.
Since Romania is not in Shengen (for land border traffic) yet, there are still passport checks at the border here causing delays. Waiting time for us was about 40 minutes.
On the other side of the border the A1 takes over and the first bigger city on the route is Arad. In total we cover almost 100 kilometers on this drive through landscapes that are not all too exciting. I hope you enjoy the drive anyway.
