Andrea Terceros, born in Bolivia, studied architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Stuttgart in Germany and at the Politecnico di Milano in Italy.
She later worked at Bjarke Ingels Group and Effekt in Copenhagen and at Kengo Kuma and Associates in Tokyo. She was part of multiple international projects and competitions.
After her time in Japan, Terceros moved to London to pursue her Masters's Degree in Architectural Design at the Bartlett School of Architecture at the UCL, where she and her team won the B-Pro Silver Medal Prize. She studied with a fully funded Chevening Scholarship.
Currently, she is based in Bolivia, where she recently opened her own architectural firm âA.TE Arquitecturaâ where she aims to use her knowledge of Japanese and Scandinavian architecture, and apply it to local South American materiality./media:description>

Fumihiko Sano Studio (established in 2011 by Fumihiko Sano) is an Architecture / Design / Art studio based in Tokyo which is looking into making the next generation culture for Japanese history.

Fumihiko Sano began his career as an apprentice - Sukiya carpenter at Nakamura Souji Komuten in Kyoto. After working at a design office, he created the Fumihiko Sano Studio.
In 2016, he visited 16 countries around the world and carried out a project to create a tea room as a place of hospitality in each location. Aiming to create new value for the culture of various regions, he continues to carry out cross-disciplinary works in architecture, interior design, product design, and artwork.

VERTICAL CITIES:
High rise large-scale buildings, mostly known as skyscrapers might be overwhelming as a presence within an urban development. But can a different approach make the difference?
This time, Director and Architect Gideon Maasland from MVRDV will be our guest speaker. With extensive experience acquired over a 15-year career at several high profile Dutch offices, Maasland leads MVRDVâs Studio 8, which is responsible for large-scale, complex buildings.
Renowned for his detailed and dedicated approach due to his diverse educational and professional background that includes also carpentry and construction methodology, Maaslandâs work is hands-on.
He leads all projects in his studio under development and construction, including the Valley, a 75,000m2 mixed-use building in Amsterdam, as well as the construction of a 61,800m2 residential tower project in The Hague, and the transformation of Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, a trade fair of 170,000m2.
In addition, Maasland is working on various projects in Eindhoven, Poland, and the UK. Other exceptional projects include The Crystal Houses in Amsterdam, Shenzhen Terraces in China, and competition designs for Schipholâs Terminal A and the Theater aan de Parade in Den Bosch./media:description>

media:description>Leander Adrian is Design Director for HENN. He joined the office in 2015 after completing his Bachelor at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL in 2009. He went on to study at the Architectural Association where he completed his studies in 2015. His role in the studio is to lead early phase projects such as competitions, commissions and feasibility studies, developing the key concepts that later define the project across a range of typologies and scales. Prior to leading the Design Studio at HENN Berlin, he was leading the HENN Design studio in Beijing, China for 3 years. Leander has developed specific experience in a wide range of building typologies including masterplans, offices, universities, laboratories, culture, production, commercial and research buildings

Roviras - Castelao Arquitectos is a modern practice based in Barcelona who focus on the health and wellbeing in design, and self-sufficient spaces. The use of ceramics in architecture is ancient and has been overshadowed by the new composite materials which are more versatile in comparison. Now ceramics is making a revival in the use of building facades to improve the buildingsâ energy efficiency and as a finishing component on the outer shell.
