David Leech Architects was begun in 2016 by David Leech after 13 years working at several European offices including Herzog & de Meuron in Basel, Caruso St John architects and 6a architects in London, and dePaor architects and Grafton architects in Dublin. The practice is currently engaged in public and private works including houses, housing, office and gallery projects.
The practice has been awarded several international architectural prizes for its first works including the World Architecture Festival House of the Year 2018, the Architects Journal Small Project of the year Award 2019 and the American Institute of Architects UK Young Architect 2019.
Although a new practice, the work of the studio has been published widely in books and journals, including Domus journal, Casabella magazine, the Architectural Review, Architectures A Vivre, the Architects Journal and Architecture Ireland. Aldo, David Leech has lectured on the projects and the studio in the Uk and in Europe including a talk on the work of the practice as part of the Architecture Foundation’s Architecture on Stage series in London.
