Ceramics and Architecture:
Roviras - Castelao Arquitectos is a modern practice based in Barcelona who focus on the health and wellbeing in design, and self-sufficient spaces. The use of ceramics in architecture is ancient and has been overshadowed by the new composite materials which are more versatile in comparison. Now ceramics is making a revival in the use of building facades to improve the buildings’ energy efficiency and as a finishing component on the outer shell.
