As Israeli jets are heard flying in the skies to battle Israel's enemies, I greet you from within the Bosom of my Refuge, the God of Jacob, in the midst of War in Israel with love and peace and confidence in the One True God Elohim the Creator of Heaven and Earth! Welcome to Torah Treasures with Micha'el BenDavid Beloved, I believe the timing of the War that started on Simchat Torah (when the Torah scroll is rolled back to the Beginning) until this week's Torah portion / Parashat B'reisheet is a very significant Sign to Israel and the Nations to return wholeheartedly to the Torah, to the Ancients Paths and to Mashiach Yeshua while we still have time to make TESHUVAH ' repentance so that we may find rest for our souls even in the midst of war and adversity. This is only the beginning of Jacob's trouble that will spill over to all the nations of the world and Obedience to His instructions will help us to endure all things.. This war is a battle over WORSHIP and it will touch everyone so grab a hold of His tsit-tsit and find the strength that you will need NOW and in the future. It is written in Tehillim / Psalm 94:12-15 "Blessed is the man whom You instruct, YHVH, and teach out of Your law, that You may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked. For YHVH will not cast off His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance. But judgment will return to righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow it [TORAH]. In the Living Torah Yeshua and the written TORAH there is protection and promises to endure till the end and to overcome the world, hasatan and all things that may come upon this world. The Red horse of Zechariah 1:8 and Revelation 6:4 may have been unleashed to take PEACE from the earth; but Yeshua HaMashiach gives a Peace that the world cannot take away, so please tap into the Peace that the Prince of Peace Sar Shalom gives and you will be more than conquerors through Him who loved us! Beloved, as it is written to everything under the sun there is a season. There is a season for everything as the wise Preacher wrote in Kohelet the Book of Ecclesiastes. And we have entered a Season of War! This is the season to truly abide in Yeshua and He in us so that we may overcome the world and bear MUCH FRUIT in this season of War! Parshat Shlach Lecha:After 40 days, they (12 spies) returned with a cluster of grapes from the Valley of Eshkol (cluster), which was so large and bountiful that they had to tie the cluster to a pole and carry it on their shoulders. It doesn't mean much just bringing back the fruit of the Land just once, as a testimony, when YHVH's ultimate will was for the Israelites to go in and possess the Land and enjoy the fruit thereof everyday for a lifetime. Disobedience or lack of faith may have some impressive fruit in the beginning but nevertheless the wilderness still awaits the disobedient ones. We all have a choice to either enjoy a bountiful cluster of grapes ONCE or to continually bear clusters of fruit our whole obedient life...as we possess the Land of our inheritance. Parashat Korach: If we don't unite and fight the giants of the Land and possess it for ourselves no matter how overwhelming it may look, but let fear and unbelief hinder us from possessing what Elohim promised us then what will begin to happen is, we will turn inwardly and fight amongst ourselves instead of fighting the enemy of our souls that we are supposed to befighting.That's exactly what Korach did and he began attacking leadership ordained by YHVH and coveting the Priesthood. Why didn't he use that same energy to fight the Anakim (Giants), the Canaanites, the Jebusites and all the other "Ites!" If Elohim is for us then who can be against us? ··· ··· ··· ··· Shalom Aleichem... Shabbat is called Har HaBracha the Mountain of the Ultimate Blessing. Shabbat allows us to ascend the Mountain of Yah where we can rest from all our dead works and enter into His rest of trust and faith. And when we choose to do so, He promises that we would eat the fruit of the Land and dwell in safety. The Land can be likened to our hearts, our nefesh soul. Yeshua likened sowing seeds amongst good soil or stony and not so good soil representing our hearts. Rest the land and rest the land of your heart and soul every seventh and Abba will bless you richly and you'll be refreshed and strengthened to bear much fruit just the actual Land. He will send the rain in season, and your crops will yield and trees will bear fruit all in its season. That means there is some preparation and some waiting to be done before we see a crop or fruit. Just as in the natural when one sows, one must Cultivate and work the grounds water it and in time He will bring the increase. Beloved we are warned in this parasha that we should quickly reform to Abba's ways so as to avoid His judgments. I am still amazed at His great mercies to send judgment due to our disobedience in hope that we would make Teshuva and turn to Him. It is a scary thing to fall in or be a victim of His wrath. The curses decreed are so scary that we should all have a healthy fear of YHVH and joyfully do His bidding. His dream for us is that we would dwell on His holy mountain with clean hands and pure heart. All that was required of him in turn was was to love and serve YHVH with all of His heart and guard His commandments! But towards the latter part of his life he got too wise for himself and was no longer loyal to the One True Elohim, YHVH, the God of his father David! King Solomon, son of David, took on too many wives and in his later years they led his heart astray to worship false gods and he built altars and temples for their pagan gods in East Jerusalem where there is still so much contention in the spiritual realms. NO WONDER! And as a result of this grave SIN, the Kingdom was divided and the Northern kingdom was formed and they instituted their own priesthood and built their own temples and altars that Elohim had not instructed them to do. Hence Jeroboam established the foundation of all Replacement theologies till this day. The Messiah came to re-gather the Lost Sheep of the Tribes of Israel back to the Kingdom of the Son of David. And He will come one last time to gather the House of David and all of Judah (Zechariah 12) We delve into that a bit and want to know what a true Revival should look like.. I desire the Greater Works NOW! Yes beloved, the freedom we were given was freedom with a holy purpose. Redemption for some always accompanies Judgment for others. Pharaoh was judged while the Israelites were freed / liberated. So it will be in our Day! Sometimes in order for us to experience True Freedom we too must be JUDGED first! Be quick to judge yourself beloved and REPENT make Teshuva in your prayer closet before YHVH has to judge you openly! Let us search our hearts this Passover in order to truly Pass Over to the Promised Land. That Place He has for us to reign in with Him.For the Sons of Israel were liberated from one ruthless master to serve and become the Armies of the Living Elohim, Who happens to be the Master of the Universe, full of Grace, Compassion, Chesed and lovingkindness. He, Who is unlike any Pharaohs of the world. Listen, whether we want to acknowledge it or not, and whether we believe in God or not, we are all serving a master of sorts. For many it's mammon even in the Name of God, for others it's idols of sorts, and some others even serve themselves or their bellies; but nevertheless many are slaves to either unrighteousness as Shaul / Paul wrote so eloquently or to Righteousness. Parashat VaYigash (And He Drew Near) https://youtu.be/d9GetcwA_44 Shalom beloved followers of Truth, Sorry I didn't get a chance to post this teaching last Shabbat so here goes and be richly blessed, encouraged and challenged all at the same time PARASHAT VAYIGASH (Then He Drew Near) Genesis 44:18–47:27; Ezekiel 37:15–28 The journeys and paths we take and have to go through to become what He created us to be, can seem harsh and cruel and disconnected at times, and just like the life of Yosef, in the end we will realize, like he did, that the paths taken were the ones needed to bring us to that desired end. We will also discover that everything in our lives is connected and brings us to something bigger than ourselves which is our Calling to save and preserve many on that appointed Day. Your time is coming! Suddenly you will be placed in position to reign in the area you are called to reign in and master! Then you will make an impact on the whole world, preserving many lives and souls. Sometimes it is in the strange and difficult places that Yah makes one great for His Glory alone. Look at Moses and Yosef, made great in Egypt; Daniel made great in Babylon and so on. You never heard of Daniel when he was in Judah, before he was led captive in Babylon. YHVH spoke to Ya'akov in a night vision and told him it's okay to go to Egypt, for there I will make Jacob GREAT!
