Mthunzi was placed under suspension in August 2022 after whistle-blower Babita Deokaran claimed there were irregularities in procurement at the hospital and the payment to suppliers.
Deokaran was killed on 23 August 2021.

SAP has shares listed in the US and is therefore subject to oversight of the US Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Israel has rejected the claim of genocide and will present its case tomorrow.

Several of the contracts the multinational company signed with government entities were intermediated by Gupta family companies.
The Guptas in turn benefited to the tune of R100-million in facilitation fees.
