21:: Discovering Tut-The Saga Continues in Hindi & English #cbse #englishclass #class11 #englishlanguage
01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 11.07.2023 · 12:30:30 ··· ··· ··· ··· ··· ··· A beautiful chapter dealing with the lineage and mystery of King Tut's life and death. It describes the advances made in technology (CT Scan) which helped in recreating Tut's 3-D image and cleared doubts regarding his untimely death.
His tomb was discovered by Howard Carter, who had no other option but to chisel out Tut's remains from his coffin and sever all the major joints as the body was badly stuck to the coffin. Due to the King's curse, instead of bringing him acclaim, this discovery destroyed Howard Carter's name for all eternity.
the chapter also talks about the ancestry of King Tutankhamun, his father and grandfather, how Akhenaten went crazy and destroyed all the idols and temples of the major God - Amun and brought in the worship of the sun disk - Aten. He shifted the religious capital from Thebes to Akhetaten - now known as Amarna. However when King Tut was made the King at the age of nine years, he reinstated the old God - Amun and brought in the old ways.
He was the last heir of a major dynasty which had ruled Egypt for centuries. He died in his late teens and the reason of his death and when he died has remained a great mystery.
With Howard Carter's discovery, the time of his death was revealed - the month of March/April, and the CT Scan revealed the cause of his death.
King Tut was royal in life as well as in death. He was born in the royal family, lived a royal life and was the first to become a King at the age of nine and so he was royal in life. His mummy was the first mummy to be CT Scanned and therefore, he was royal in death.

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 15.05.2023 · 12:30:02 ··· ··· ··· ··· ··· ··· A saga of adventure and courage where grit and determination helped a father to fight the odds and save his family. It reveals how unity and optimism keeps a family together and helps in overcoming direct stress. The video talks about the exemplary courage showed by two young children - Suzanne and Jonathan and the cheerfulness of Larry Vigil and Herb Seigler, the two crewmen who did not lose their spirits till the end. Also the crucial support extended by Mary to her husband - Gordon Cook (the narrator), offers important instances of the unity which kept the family safe.
In order to duplicate the 200 year old journey by James Cook, Gordon Cook and his family spent every leisure moment perfecting the seafaring skills for 16 years. They built a sturdy boat 'Wavewalker' and practised in the roughest seas. Finally they set out but during the second leg of their journey, they encountered a ferocious storm which not only almost destroyed their boat but they also managed to lose a lot of important equipment.
However the family did not give up and fought the storm and finally reached Ile Amsterdam - a French Scientific Base
It was after this incident that it was discovered that Suzzane's headbump which had been almost overlooked, required 6 minor operations to remove the recurring blood clot in between the skull and the skin.
Jonathan's words - we're not afraid to die if we can all be together, played a significant role in encouraging the father to not give up and hence the significance of the title.
