BELIAL was a Finnish Black/Death Metal band from Oulu, Pohjois-Pohjanmaa, formed in 1991 linked closely to IMPALED NAZARENE.
The band started as a Black/Death metal band. However, with the loss of guitarist Jukka Valppu, the band headed in a more progressive rock/punk direction.
Like several other Finnish metal bands from the early 1990s, they drastically changed their style to alternative rock for their third album before breaking up.
WISDOM OF DARKNESS was their debut Extended Play released in 1992 through Lethal Records.
