First off, apologies for the wonky audio, I had to run it through Adobe’s beta Podcast tool. While it ain’t great, it is better than it was. Now, today’s sandwich is the Cheese Sandwich from “Mrs. Beeton’s Book of Household Management,” 1899 edition. It is a curious recipe. While it lists “thin slices of cheese” in the ingredients, the instructions rather explicitly call off 1/2” slabs of the stuff. I love cheese but this is a bit excessive. Still, I do the recipes as written and plus them up if they have potential. And seriously, this clearly has potential
