Given today’s clearly defined climate targets, there is an increasingly pressing need for sustainable transportation of people and freight by rail. Rail is and remains the most eco-friendly mode of travel and transportation.
As an enabler of the mobility revolution, Knorr-Bremse has created four solution areas, composed of the company’s latest innovative developments spread out over more than 1,000 square meters of exhibition space in hall 1.2, booth 250.
Solutions for safe, reliable, sustainable mobility worldwide. Solutions for rail operators and rail vehicle manufacturers. And every single solution designed to be customizable.
• Ecological Footprint presents solutions for optimizing our customers’ eco-footprint that will continue to strengthen the rail industry as the most climate friendly method of mass transportation. These solutions include efficient, clean heating and air-conditioning systems as well as bringing a paradigm shift in compressed air supply.
• Traffic Flow presents approaches for dynamizing rail passenger and freight transportation with the goal of optimizing the use of existing infrastructures. Reproducible Braking Distance (RBD) and train entrance systems that speed up platform processes help to shorten train headways. And Digital Freight Train enhances efficiency and availability levels in rail goods transport.
• Train Operations & Maintenance is where Knorr-Bremse RailServices focuses its innovative solutions for efficient rail vehicle operation. Process optimizations and longer service life increase train availability, e.g. by means of remote diagnosis and predictive maintenance.
• Smart Solutions & Applications are enablers of improved efficiency and support. This section presents human-system interconnectivity in a digitalized world and introduces the smart products, systems, and solutions offered by Knorr-Bremse to serve the solution landscapes.
