Neben Gastvorträgen präsentierte Zelisko Verkehrsmanagementsysteme auch Neuheiten aus ihrem Produktportfolio, wie zum Beispiel den FSD6+, einen innovativen Bordrechner und Fahrscheindrucker. Unsere Kundinnen und Kunden konnten in einen regen Austausch gehen und sich mit anderen Verkehrsunternehmen und Branchenexpert*innen vernetzen. 12:: Next-gen braking technology for boosting railway capacity

··· ··· ··· ··· Together with Deutsche Bahn and DB Systemtechnik, Knorr-Bremse tested its next-gen braking technology for Reproducible Braking Distance (RBD) under the most demanding wheel/rail adhesion conditions. Within the frame of the European Programme Shift2Rail in the project PIVOT2, two systems developed at Knorr-Bremse, an intelligent sanding system and an adaptive WSP algorithm, were installed on Deutsche Bahn’s advanced TrainLab. The systems are used to be able to better predict and reproducibly achieve braking decelerations of passenger trains under various wheel/rail conditions as proven here on paper and oil. The overall goal: Helping to put more trains on the tracks without major infrastructure investments, improve punctuality and therewith boost rail mobility and eventually also support future Automatic Train Operation (ATO). The test runs already represent the second of their kind. In 2019, measurements related to this topic were already carried out, which represent the basis for the system and test rig developments which are available today. A continuation of the successful cooperation in future activities is already planned for the ERJU R2DATO project. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No: 881807 𝐙𝐮𝐤𝐮𝐧𝐟𝐭𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞 𝐟ü𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐡𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭ä𝐭 𝐚𝐮𝐟 𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐞 Gemeinsam mit der Deutschen Bahn und der DB Systemtechnik hat Knorr-Bremse seine zukunftsweisenden Technologien zur Realisierung reproduzierbarer Bremswege (Reproducible Braking Distance, RBD) unter anspruchsvollsten Rad-Schiene-Kraftschlussbedingungen getestet. Im Rahmen des europäischen Programms Shift2Rail im Projekt PIVOT2 wurden zwei bei Knorr-Bremse entwickelte Systeme, ein intelligentes Sandungssystem sowie ein adaptiver Gleitschutz-Algorithmus, auf dem advanced TrainLab der Deutschen Bahn installiert. Die beiden Systeme dienen dazu, die Fahrzeugverzögerungen von Personenzügen besser vorherzubestimmen und unter verschiedenen Rad-/Schiene-Bedingungen reproduzierbar erzielen zu können, wie hier auf Papier sowie Öl gezeigt wird. Das übergeordnete Ziel: ohne aufwändige Infrastruktur-Anpassungen mehr Züge auf die Schiene zu bringen, deren Pünktlichkeit zu erhöhen und damit den Bahnverkehr generell zu stärken sowie zukünftigen automatischen Zugbetrieb (ATO) zu unterstützen. Die Testfahrten sind bereits die zweiten ihrer Art. Im Jahr 2019 wurden bereits Messungen zu diesem Thema durchgeführt, welche die Grundlage für die heute vorliegenden System- und Prüfstandsentwicklungen darstellen. Eine Fortsetzung der erfolgreichen Zusammenarbeit in zukünftigen Aktivitäten ist bereits im ERJU R2DATO-Projekt geplant. The modular SIFU (System Integrated Functional Unit) consists of a maintenance-friendly solution that packages numerous vehicle power distribution control and diagnostics components in a single compact, digitized system. Located at our Munich headquarters, the facility enables our experts to map a spectrum of wheel-track situations involving freight, metro and high-speed trains operating at speeds of up to 350 km/h with axle loads of up to 30 tons. Also in the area of freight transport, for example, ATLAS allows us to test friction materials and thereby further optimize their noise emissions. And in driving simulations, ATLAS enables us to evaluate wheel-friendly braking strategies on downhill routes.
