Four different cases are selected by hand, ex. bourbon barrels, quarter casks, virgin American oak barrels and European oak hogsheads.
This comple combination creates a golden, creamy peat-smoked Islay malt with warm, toasted vanilla notes and hints of sandalwood, pine fir and willow.

Our storied tradition of distilling wouldn’t exist without a little imagination. Now the remarkably smooth Laphroaig® Four Oak is blazing a trail of its own. For this unique bottling we hand-selected a blend of single malts from ex-Bourbon barrels, 19th Century-style quarter casks and European oak hogsheads for a velvety texture. With the rare addition of whisky aged in virgin American oak – layering sweet aromas of vanilla to our renowned flavours of medicinal peat smoke and seaweed. Pour neat, over ice or with a dash of chilled water – and raise a glass to celebrate fresh ideas of your own.
COLOUR - Bright gold. Imbued from four varieties of oak.
NOSE - Bold peat smoke with notes of stewed fruit and warm, toasted vanilla.
PALATE - Peat smoke and oak embers with hints of seaweed, pine and smooth buttercream.
FINISH- Lingering peat smoke with hints of salty liquorice.
MATURATION- Aged in ex-Bourbon barrels, 19th Century-style quarter casks, European oak hogsheads and new American oak.
