The book of Joel is one of the little books toward the end of the Old Testament. Despite its small size, it contains a message from God that’s vital for people of every age: “God’s Word for a Time of Crisis.” The book of Joel provides direction and comfort for believers in God who face crisis and calamity. Above all, it encourages God’s people to turn to God in repentance and find comfort in God’s promises.
In this eighth lesson, we studied Joel 2:18-32. These verses are filled with God’s grace for his people. When God’s people repented of their sins and turned to him, God promised to bless them, both with physical blessings and with spiritual blessings. We discussed how when God leads us through calamities and trials, he often provides us with blessings we never would have imagined. We also studied how one of Joel’s prophecies was fulfilled on Pentecost when God poured out his Spirit on Jesus’ disciples. We hope you can watch our Bible study. God bless you!
