A note from Christoph:
This Prelude Concert commemorates ten years as Organist-in-Residence at First Congregational Church of Los Angeles with a replay of the exact program I performed a decade earlier.
My first concert in this position occurred on October 18, 2013 (Bach Festival) and I played my first pre-service Prelude Concert on October 20, 2013.
The fact that I started at FCCLA in '13 is one of the reasons I consider '13' a lucky number. Two more are: I-Chin's and my son Maximilian Adrian Sebastian was born the same year, 2013, and the late great German football striker Gerd Müller wore the number 13 on his jersey when playing for the national team in 1970 and 1974 (when they won the World Cup).
So, when I discovered that my Prelude Concert in this video started with Piston #13 (a combination of stops that I pre-programmed) I felt compelled to share that fact with the people in attendance :)
One of my missions at FCCLA is that The Great Organs of First Church will be played, maintained and upgraded into perpetuity.
