Do you have acknowledgment in your relationship frameworks now?
This society based on capitalism and production has tricked us into judging people based on “results.” Sure, I get it. However, life is bigger than results. Every journey that we are on has trials and errors, ups and downs, victories, and defeats. In genuine partnership, connection, and teamwork, we must figure out how to keep working with/supporting each other.
Another big reason to use acknowledgment: because you don’t, you’re most likely turning to criticism. Criticism, per Gottman’s institute on healthy relationships, has noted that a lot of criticism can often signal that the relationship won’t make it.
Take a second to think about when you made a mistake. How did a person respond to you? Here’s a simple example:
You always mess up when you flip the pancakes; now I have to clean up this big mess because you scan them too early and wild.
