Improving sweetpotato seed systems through rapid multiplication technologies

International Potato Center (CIP) Sweetpotato farmers face challenges in access to clean quality seed limiting their production. SweetGAINS project has been working to improve the technologies for production of early generation seed and ensuring there are efficient and rapid diagnostics technologies in partnership with Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute (TARI) and National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) in Uganda.
Dr. Kwame Ogero, Seed System Specialist at CIP shares more on some of the technologies like sandponics which increase production rates by 22%.
