The book of Joel is one of the little books toward the end of the Old Testament. Despite its small size, it contains a message from God that’s vital for people of every age: “God’s Word for a Time of Crisis.” The book of Joel provides direction and comfort for believers in God who face crisis and calamity. Above all, it encourages God’s people to turn to God in repentance and find comfort in God’s promises.
In this eleventh lesson, we studied Joel 2:28 in depth: “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.” We saw how God fulfilled this prophecy by pouring out his Holy Spirit on Pentecost and by continuing to provide his Holy Spirit to all who are baptized. We also studied what the Old Testament says about the Holy Spirit and learned how Jesus encourages us to ask God the Father to send his Spirit to us. We hope you can watch our Bible study.
