C. Derick Varn RIP Loren Goldner. This is a tribute to the man who was a major influence on my politics.
Very few things make Loren Goldner madder than Max Elbaum's vision of the "new communist" movement. While I have been telling people to read Elbaum critically for many years--I started suggesting it in 2012, ten years after its original release. Yet, I share some of Goldner's concerns. It's also interesting how much has changed since Goldner wrote this 22 years ago.
