Do you need more joy in your life? Do you struggle to find contentment? In this “Rejoice Always” Bible study, we’ll study the book of Philippians in the New Testament. Philippians is all about how to rejoice in Christ, even in the middle of life’s difficulties. God’s Word convinces us that true joy doesn’t depend on our outward circumstances. It depends on Jesus and all his blessings to us.
In this fourth lesson, we studied Philippians chapter 3. Paul warns us not to put our confidence “in the flesh”—in any of our human works or characteristics. Instead, Paul found great joy in realizing that even if he lost everything, he had Jesus, and Jesus was everything he needed. In our study, we talked about all the wrong places we’re tempted to put our confidence, and we found joy just like Paul did in Jesus and his promise of what’s waiting for us in heaven.
