Barrell Craft Spirits latest blended bourbon product, Barrell Bourbon Batch 034, is on shelves and ready for review! This batch follows the widely lauded batch 033. I loved that one so this bottle has big shoes to fill.
This bourbon is a blend of four straight bourbon whiskies distilled and aged in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana for 6, 8, 10, and 15 years. It is cask strength / barrel proof coming in at 114.62 proof (57.31% ABV).
At around $100, this isn't a bourbon that you can just pull from the shelf whenever the mood strikes. So is this something special? Or just a so-so blend that's not worth that expense?
