Bruce W. Nelson They’re storing aging meat now at a courthouse in New York
It’s nearly 80 years old, and it smells like rotting pork.
They keep it cold inside there, so the lump won’t decompose
It cannot be a pleasant task for any, I suppose.
To keep a sentient bit of meat around for so damn long
to me, as an old farm boy, seems ridiculous and wrong.
The meat is turning orange, it’s too old for even stew.
To put it in high office is the last thing we should do.
