A recording of the legendary Wiyba Bin, princess of Nso', leading the Chong chant during the launching of mourning rites of a Fon of Nso' who had "disapppeared".
This woman was popular at the time and earned herself the status of legend even after her death. Wiyba Bin had a rare caliber of inspiration and spontaneity. She was a poet of superior levels, and literally a lyrical 'monster'.
This audio, whose date we cannot establish, is only a bit of her doing her thing, with on-the-spot inspiration in Lamnso', chanting in verse, plain language and parables.
