Before you begin with discussion, please have someone in your group share a S.O.A.R. entry from last week’s passages.
DISCUSSION:
Imagine yourself, the BRIDE and Jesus was at the end of the aisle looking at you so sweetly, so proud, saying, “From this day forward you do not have to live in shame, or believe the lies, doubt, or guilt because I have come to change everything because I love you!” Is this hard to believe? How have you wrestled with feeling worthy…enough?
How many times have we denied Christ by living life our OWN way? Have you ever been able to look back and see His loving pursuit of you, how He was Faithful and True, in your story - even at times when you were not? How does this make you feel?
Read and discuss the passage in Luke. Can you empathize with the criminal in this story? Would you have enough courage to ask Jesus to remember you? Do you believe that God is truly a good God? Do you believe that He died with YOU in mind? For Y O U? Because He desperately wants to spend eternity with you? It wasn’t that He had to but He wanted to!
