Engine Sim - @AngeTheGreat @D3Vtech_Z Possible Diesel Engine Runaway!?

According to what I've read, Diesel engines don't have throttle valves. Instead, they vary the speed by altering the fuel injectors. Apparently, Engine Simulator 2D (ES-2D, as how the original creator would name it) is designed and tailored for 4-stroke dual-overhead cammed gasoline engines. Various engine models including almost every engine model I uploaded to the engine sim parts catalog have made the compromise to alter the fuel properties to mimic the chemical nature of Diesel. Even I was able to try some small 2-stroke experimental engines, even a friggin Detroit 8v71. Anyhow, today, for fun, I fixated the throttle valve to full by holding R and then pressing the start (windows) key. Engaged the starter, and depressed the clutch. To my surprise, the engine was revving up, well past the revolution rate of the starter. In this video, I'm recreating it and playing more around it.

To tell the truth, I was horrified when coming to know about diesel engine runaways where the quality of air-fuel mixture rises too high and makes the engine rev past its rated limits. To stop one from "running away" either we should smother the air intake, blow CO2, or choke the engine by shifting to a gear. In the worst-case scenario, that gear would be the top one and to ensure that the engine stops, holding onto the brakes is also necessary. Even though that may save the engine, the driver sacrifices the transmission and maybe even the brakes due to the massive energy being instantly released.

P.S. : Whatever this phenomenon is, it's not occurring on other engine models. Even the ones that have modified fuel properties for diesel.

(I'm sorry if my points are wrong. I don't have a big picture or a proper background on internal combustion engines, so this description might be a result of the Dunning-Kruger effect.)
