media:description>Having known that convolution operations can mimic the reverb of any place or the tonal quality of such equipment as radios, and telephones (except distortions, nonlinearities, and time-varying nuances) I decided to give a shot at recording the reverb settings hopefully still present at our home desktop under its Realtek HD - GIGABYTE (whatever) audio driver. On Audacity, I had three options to record audio. Both MME and DirectSound offer the functionality to record via stereo mix. In addition, Windows Audio Session API brings up another loopback of the speakers' stream, However, that stream was the dryest, and it doesn't contain the driver's effects. On the other hand, stereo mix loops the wet signal back, and on the way, it picks up some other unidentified noise, which happens to be brighter than every single environment preset. So if I use my recorded impulse responses as they are, a noticeable noise at the end of warmer reverb tails would be inevitable. So, I had to edit many responses to ensure that they were in the cleanest form possible. Doing so, some random artifacts were also made, and those are the ones with random letters or suffixes at the end of their file names.

media:description>According to what I've read, Diesel engines don't have throttle valves. Instead, they vary the speed by altering the fuel injectors. Apparently, Engine Simulator 2D (ES-2D, as how the original creator would name it) is designed and tailored for 4-stroke dual-overhead cammed gasoline engines. Various engine models including almost every engine model I uploaded to the engine sim parts catalog have made the compromise to alter the fuel properties to mimic the chemical nature of Diesel. Even I was able to try some small 2-stroke experimental engines, even a friggin Detroit 8v71. Anyhow, today, for fun, I fixated the throttle valve to full by holding R and then pressing the start (windows) key. Engaged the starter, and depressed the clutch. To my surprise, the engine was revving up, well past the revolution rate of the starter. In this video, I'm recreating it and playing more around it.
To tell the truth, I was horrified when coming to know about diesel engine runaways where the quality of air-fuel mixture rises too high and makes the engine rev past its rated limits. To stop one from "running away" either we should smother the air intake, blow CO2, or choke the engine by shifting to a gear. In the worst-case scenario, that gear would be the top one and to ensure that the engine stops, holding onto the brakes is also necessary. Even though that may save the engine, the driver sacrifices the transmission and maybe even the brakes due to the massive energy being instantly released.
P.S. : Whatever this phenomenon is, it's not occurring on other engine models. Even the ones that have modified fuel properties for diesel.

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 04.03.2024 · 04:58:18 ··· ··· ··· ··· ··· ··· Having known that convolution operations can mimic the reverb of any place or the tonal quality of such equipment as radios, and telephones (except distortions, nonlinearities, and time-varying nuances) I decided to give a shot at recording the reverb settings hopefully still present at our home desktop under its Realtek HD - GIGABYTE (whatever) audio driver. On Audacity, I had three options to record audio. Both MME and DirectSound offer the functionality to record via stereo mix. In addition, Windows Audio Session API brings up another loopback of the speakers' stream, However, that stream was the dryest, and it doesn't contain the driver's effects. On the other hand, stereo mix loops the wet signal back, and on the way, it picks up some other unidentified noise, which happens to be brighter than every single environment preset. So if I use my recorded impulse responses as they are, a noticeable noise at the end of warmer reverb tails would be inevitable. So, I had to edit many responses to ensure that they were in the cleanest form possible. Doing so, some random artifacts were also made, and those are the ones with random letters or suffixes at the end of their file names.

Instead, they vary the speed by altering the fuel injectors. Apparently, Engine Simulator 2D (ES-2D, as how the original creator would name it) is designed and tailored for 4-stroke dual-overhead cammed gasoline engines. Various engine models including almost every engine model I uploaded to the engine sim parts catalog have made the compromise to alter the fuel properties to mimic the chemical nature of Diesel. Even I was able to try some small 2-stroke experimental engines, even a friggin Detroit 8v71. Anyhow, today, for fun, I fixated the throttle valve to full by holding R and then pressing the start (windows) key. Engaged the starter, and depressed the clutch. To my surprise, the engine was revving up, well past the revolution rate of the starter. In this video, I'm recreating it and playing more around it.
To tell the truth, I was horrified when coming to know about diesel engine runaways where the quality of air-fuel mixture rises too high and makes the engine rev past its rated limits. To stop one from "running away" either we should smother the air intake, blow CO2, or choke the engine by shifting to a gear. In the worst-case scenario, that gear would be the top one and to ensure that the engine stops, holding onto the brakes is also necessary. Even though that may save the engine, the driver sacrifices the transmission and maybe even the brakes due to the massive energy being instantly released.
P.S. : Whatever this phenomenon is, it's not occurring on other engine models. Even the ones that have modified fuel properties for diesel.
(I'm sorry if my points are wrong. I don't have a big picture or a proper background on internal combustion engines, so this description might be a result of the Dunning-Kruger effect.)

This very app boasts its Voice activated scrolling feature that does not work on the standalone Windows application but roughly partly on the web version. I'm sorry if my timing is bad, I'm varying the speed throughout the time to bring up what is to be sung and the speed variation is a bit laggy here.
The movie this song comes from (Stree 1, 2018) has been re-encoded by me to contain Stereo audio. This track switches between the actual audio from the official music video and the song replay heard in the ending credits roll. Of course, I should have used the audio from my previously downloaded YTS.MX copy and it has quality audio, but without a whole stereo half and in mono. This version is from a TATA Sky recording uploaded to YouTube by someone and thankful to him, it's in stereo despite the heavy compression. My weird thinking has suggested that compressed audio is way better than jumping back and forth between stereo and crappy mono.
Well as you can see, it's not a proper karaoke display, I just prepared this in a hurry and teleprompters traditionally don't have a highlighting gimmick to be performed on elapsed text.
Gosh! I miss those old days where I virtually adapted into a different cultures while translating movies into captions...

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 19.04.2023 · 00:59:24 ··· ··· ··· ··· ··· ··· I was annoyed by the WTF flanger (I've explained that in one of my earlier videos on my first channel, However, that video has to be deleted for copyright reasons) Throughout this entire runtime. Hopefully, now that I could obtain another copy of this same movie from YouTube with almost unharmed audio, (That video was in 16:9 with letterboxing, and the speed of the audio track was higher. The original movie has to be playing in 23.976 FPS, but instead it was in 25 FPS, sharp.) I was able to give a shot at resurrecting the true immersion of the runtime.
But then, an imperfection of Premiere Pro crashed in, and I was getting a constant clicking noise in the output audio. Turns out that the slight speed change I applied to the audio track within the sequence has messed it up. However, everything worked fine as long as I was previewing it. So, I re-recorded the full audio track via "Stereo Mix" (as chunks varying from 15 minutes to 20 minutes...) and slapped it back into the sequence.
All subtitle tracks were out of sync with the original video (by Hon3yHD.) so I loaded an SRT file on Premiere pro as well, and there went the re-syncing and refining routine.
4/19/2023 - I begun and finalized the sinhala subtitle, all on YouTube studio, and then I applied font color and italic tweaks to the final SRT version. Both subtitles are open to download as SRT in the below links.

I was upset with the lack of bass each time I heard this song on the radio. This song apparently had f*cked up in its mid-side mixing stage. So somehow a lot of melodic instruments used here, including bass, had gone to the "Side" portion instead of where they must be.
In a Joint-Stereo audio file, the audio is encoded as the SUM of Left and Right, and the DIFFERENCE between left and right.
The difference channel or "Side" is the sum of the Left channel and the PHASE-INVERTED version of the Right channel or vice versa.
In reality, as long as you don't attempt either a mono mixdown or a "vocal removal", MID and SIDE would be just a logical process done inside joint stereo audio encoder/decoder circuits.
We can practically meet a near representation of the logical MID channel once we mix stereo to mono, just not in its actual amplitude. As in the majority of our radio channels. Even though they would broadcast on stereo, average FM reception would be barely able to retain the "side" channel clearly so your radio will stay in a forced mono state. But the real MID channel would be twice as loud as the traditional mono mixdown since the addition of identical waveforms.
In a similar manner, if we are about to do a cheap vocal removal operation, chances are you'll meet the actual SIDE channel. In standard mixing, we'd ensure that our lead vocals, bass, kick, and snare are panned to the center, i.e. equal volume to left and right. So no matter how crude or professional the vocal remover is, we can easily remove the lead vocal by re-mixing the left channel with the inverted copy of the right channel. The apparent amplitude of the side channel varies depending on how well the stereo channels would sound different from each other. And, more pronounced audio compression artifacts are normal to be heard in the side channel.
In common sense, we shall not hear the bass playing in the side channel. If you do in your final mix, then a mono setup is a completely bad choice to play your song...
Fun fact: If you play a mono mix over its own inverted (both channels) stereo mix, you hear the channel-swapped version of the stereo mix.
