The vice president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Jiang Jiang, says they have a department for Asian and African affairs where they engage in people-to-people exchanges and have set up work relations with 50 African countries. He said through the association they help in local governance by setting up city to city relationships with counterparts. Jiang said this during an African think tank and media workshop in China last week.
