Sunday next before Lent - I do like these archaic ways of describing Sundays in the liturgical calendar! For the next 5 weeks of Lent (based on the ABCDEFG pattern) rather than take a lectionary passage for the weekly video, I have decided to use my local Lent course based on Handel's Messiah. I have taken five movements of The Messiah and put the text into a bit of a longer context for our study purposes. This way it becomes a mini Lent course online. The idea is that we explore the Bible and enjoy the music! I kind of anticipate that today with my choice of music.
