Calvary Chapel Mission Viejo This Sunday we return to our series on the life of Abraham. We left off with Abraham receiving three visitors, one of whom was the Lord Himself appearing in human form (Genesis 18:1-15). In that account, Abraham showed amazing hospitality, part of which included provision of a huge meal. The story continues this week with the guests moving on to pay a visit to Sodom, a city about twenty miles away.
The purpose of this visit was not tourism, neither was it to exchange pleasantries. This was a prelude to judgment. We’ll explore this unique text with a specific focus on seeing what this reveals about the nature of the Lord.
