The third of four seasonal releases that represent the farming year beginning with Sowing and running through Harvest, Fallow and Ploughing, Lochlea Fallow Edition is a marriage of spirit matured in first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks to impart rich dark fruit and soft spice notes to the already established Lochlea house style of cereals and cut grass - although it's not quite as deep as you might expect, still retaining a light touch throughout. In comparison, the initial Sowing Edition was matured solely in ex-Bourbon casks and bottled at a slightly higher ABV of 48%, whereas the Harvest Edition was matured in ex-Port, Bourbon and Sherry casks and also bottled at 46% ABV.
