I walked the central route of the Portuguese Camino, departing Porto on the 28 May and arriving in Santiago de Compostela on the 7 June.
Items I took with me
- Rucksack
- Walking poles
- Water bladder
- Rain coat
- Long trousers (lightweight)
- Shorts (lightweight) - one pair was running shorts, which I also used for swimming
- 2 pairs of hiking socks (not used)
- Hiking sandals
- Hiking shoes (ditched on the walk because they were no longer fit for purpose)
- Hat
- 2 pairs of underwear
- Sun glasses
- Travel towel
- Medication/toiletries
- 2 quick drying t-shirts
- 2 lightweight long sleeve shirts
- Passport
- Mobile phone and charger
- Sleeping bag (lightweight)
Purchased on the Camino
- 10ltr lightweight travel rucksack that can fit in the pocket
