Concertino for Violin by Hergest the Red

Hergest the Red This is my first major piece since finishing my symphonic poem "Algernon" back in September of 2023. I wanted to write something pretty and more delicate after writing so many dark pieces last year. Being a great admirer of "The Lark Ascending" by Vaughn Williams , "Meditations" by Massenet, and Barber's violin concerto, I would say that this piece is greatly in their debt. I also drew influence from an electronic musician named Pogo, especially in the accompaniment.
This piece is dedicated to my wife, her bridesmaids, and the wives of my groomsmen.
