The Wee Family This is the 3rd year we have attended this event. Our daughter seems to be getting more comfortable with this dad daughter date night environment. Waiting in lines was not a problem (normally causing disregulation) and she not only tolerated a food she normally pushes away, like the whole plate so that it is out of her reach, she picked up a known food that she has aversion with and tried it.
This goes to show that so much goes into the eating experience with our autistic daughter. The environment as a whole can play a part in how she interacts with food she normally avoids.
Overall, this was a fantastic night.
