One of the most beautiful themes 'Nimrod', from Edward Elgar, Enigma Variations no. IX, arrranged for piano solo and played by Hetty Sponselee.
This arrangement, which I made a while ago, is recorded in 'Het Cenakel" in Tilburg on a Steinway D.

The original orchestra score and Elgar's own piano score were starting point for this arrangement, but Hetty added more movement in the piano because of the difference between violin and piano (like length and crescendo of one tone, which is not possible in de piano).
