DISCUSSION:
What can we learn from the way Martha invited Jesus into her home?
By going to Jesus with what was upsetting her, Martha, lived out 1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you,” What is something you need to share with Jesus today? What is on the top of your mind? What is frustrating you? What doesn’t seem fair?
What are a few unique differences you see in your husband, kids, or even friends at this table? How can you embrace those differences instead of letting them divide you?
Do you have a favorite Bible reading plan, devotional, Bible study app, accountability or scripture memorization tool? Share fun simple and creative ways you can start sharing a love for God’s word with your kids. Any ideas?
Share a new prayer marker you would like to set up in your day to spend time sitting at Jesus feet? (Example: Praying for your husband as you make your bed, praying for your kid’s while you fold their laundry.) Ask the Holy Spirit to show you unique spaces you can show gratitude and invite Him into what appears to be the every day ordinary and mundane. Any ideas? How can this change the posture of our heart?
