A selection of verses from Mark 7 this week: 7:1-8, 14-15, 21-23. Usually I try to speak to everyone, believer, searcher after truth, stumbler across the video - but this week I guess it's mainly for those of us who do the church thing and have been doing it for a while. Jesus is challenged (again) by a group of people called 'Pharisees'. They preach practice rather than principle and judge everyone by their own mistaken standards. Jesus calls them - and his hearers - back to the Scriptures.but throws in an evaluation of them, they're 'hypocrites'. I've heard it said that 'the church is full of hypocrites', Actually, the world is full of hypocrites. If you meet hypocrisy (as defined in this video) in the church call it out. But just make sure there's none in your own heart first!
