WCNC The wedge really helped the Charlotte region steer clear of severe weather Saturday with highs only in the upper 50s, cloudy sky conditions, and areas of drizzle. Overnight, we gradually become mostly clear with lows in the mid 40s.
Winds will increase as the cold front passes through the area. Gusts tonight will likely peak near 20 mph with most spots between 10 - 15 mph.
Lingering moisture overnight combined with cold air will allow for some mountain snow early tomorrow. Winds turn breezy throughout the day gusting 50 mph in the mountains and 30 mph across the Charlotte area.
