Joshua and Jason take you through the tasting notes (also listed below) on the latest Single Cask Nation Foursquare 16yo Barbadian rum from an ex-bourbon barrel..
Tasting notes are as follows:
Color: Deep Dark Amber
Nose: Warm brown sugar and toasted oak lead the way with Malteasers (like Whoppers only more better), crushed fresh coconut, and warm apple pie with melted vanilla ice cream coming in behind. Look for cotton candy around the edges of the swirled glass and maybe even a hint of chocolate covered toffee.
Palate: Rich and unctuous with abundant oak and warm leather armchairs, mellow cinnamon spice balances out the brown sugar sweetness, fruitiness takes the form of golden raisins, bruised pineapple, and Casaba melon before developing the earthiness of used light roast coffee grounds.
Finish: Long and lasting with lingering cinnamon, brown sugar, and Manuka honey
