TBH I rarely mention spiritality in India because the topic usually attracts a lot of foreigners who need serious mental help, but instead depart on a "spiritual journey in India". However there's no denying spirituality is an intergral part of what makes India a unique place in the world.
It's the birthplace of yoga & meditation, but also most people are religious which imho leads to far more good than bad things. It's this "working on your soul" that results in far more random acts of kindness, but also people who really can thrive in sometimes very tough conditions.
Personally I did a yoga teacher training in 2015. As cliché as it sounds, it completely changed my life. I still meditate for an hour daily and practice yoga weekly. It's my safe space and a daily shower of sanity. Love is my religion and I love being surrounded by that in abundance in India🧡
