Richard Niles wrote “Blues For D.K.” for acclaimed cellist Dennis Karmazyn, principal cellist for the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.
This piece is far from a conventional blues, but finds its inspiration as much from contemporary classical music as from John Lee Hooker.
The video is created from some of Niles’ favorite blues record covers.
