The book of Romans in the New Testament provides one of the clearest and fullest explanations of Christian teaching in the Bible. Over the next few months, our Wednesday Bible studies are studying through Romans chapter by chapter. We hope you can watch our studies!
In this thirteenth lesson, we studied Romans 9:1-32. This chapter begins a new section in Romans in which Paul talks specifically about the Jews. Paul mourns the fact that many Jews in his day had rejected Jesus as the Messiah, and he states how he longs for more Jews to believe in Jesus and be saved. As Paul writes about the Jews, he shares the very important truth that in God’s eyes, the people of “Israel” are not the members of a certain nation or ethnic group. “Israel” in God’s eyes are everyone of every nation who believes in God’s promise of salvation through Jesus. If anyone has faith in Jesus, it’s by God’s grace. We hope you can watch our Bible study. God bless you!
