It’s tempting for us to take credit for what God has done. To make it seem like at least part of our salvation depends on us. To make sure some of the glory goes to us for the good things in our lives. Do you know whom we’re forgetting? The Holy Spirit! The Bible says, “No one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ except by the Holy Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:3). Faith doesn’t come from our decision. It’s by the Holy Spirit. Good works don’t come from our strength. It’s by the Holy Spirit. We depend completely on the grace of God from beginning to end. It’s all by the Holy Spirit!
