Hallo Freunde,
wie versprochen, zeige ich euch auch die schwierigen Seiten des Bannwabenverfahrens. Die Fälle, wo du die Königin nicht direkt findest oder wo sogar das Bannwabenverfahren einfach scheitert.
Vieles kann passieren. Stille Umweiselung, Nachschaffung, Königinnenverlust uvm.
Dann muss gegebenenfalls direkt ein PLAN B her.
Auch ist dieses biotechnische Verfahren sicherlich mühsamer und anspruchsvoller als jeder Anwendung einer Tierarznei.
Aber auf dem Weg zu einer varroaresistenteren Biene ist dieses Verfahren ein ergänzender Baustein, um auszubrechen aus der hoffnungslosen Tierarzneimittelspirale.

As promised, I will also show you the difficult sides of the "Bannwaben" process.
The cases where you can't find the queen straight away or where even the "Bannwaben" process simply fails.
A lot can happen. Silent birth of a new queen, loss of queens and much more.
Then a PLAN B may have to come straight away.
This biotechnical process is certainly more laborious and demanding than any application of a veterinary drug.
But on the way to a more Varroa-resistant bee, this process is an additional component to break out of the hopeless spiral of veterinary drugs.
The bees will thank us :-)
