This is the first time we encountered horseback riders at Dungeness Trails. And we were treated with a red-tailed hawk soaring catching a breeze above the powerlines.
Our Norwegian Elkhound, Skye, loves to hunt for squirrels and mice at Dungeness Trails. Here, trails traverse for miles through open fields and woods, and follow along the bluffs and banks of the Dungeness River. Hunting, running, digging, climbing, cooling off and quenching thirst in the river and the irrigation ditch, greeting people and dogs – a perfect world for Skye, and her owners!
