Measuring Faulting on Jointed Concrete Pavements 0-7060

The Texas Department of Transportation relies on a contracted vendor for most of its required annual distress data. However, crucial metrics of the performance on jointed concrete pavements lacks reliability.
MAP-21, the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act shifted toward a performance-based program and establishing national goals. This is continued by the FAST (Fixing America's Surface Transportation) Act. All states are required to invest in projects to achieve these objectives.
The Texas Department of Transportation and the Center for Transportation Research developed tools to accurately collect faulting data information to comply with the nationwide standards.
