Woven Stories
In 2021, when lockdown relaxed, a group from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women's Association joined a project where they walked in Bourne Woods, closely observing their surroundings. The results were turned into embroidery panels into which they poured their memories and emotions and showed their story of lockdown. "Woven Stories" for Conversations With Aldershot tells the story of the experience of some of the women.
The walking group and tapestry work was created separately to the conversations with Aldershot project, but the group wanted to share their experiences with the project archive.
