By happenstance, I met John Gussman, a local Sequim professional photographer and videographer at work launching his drone to record updated images of the Dungeness River watershed restoration project. John has been documenting the project since it began five years ago. During our brief discussion, John commented on my recording vertical video. Most veteran pro photographers, including myself, abhor the concept of vertical videos. But, similar to the monumental transition from analog (film) to digital photography, the near universal use of smart phones and social media is forcing another revolution – vertical is the rage!
