Alright, so, decided to finally get into using Nina again. Gotta say, she has never felt better! I thought she was weaker in this game, but after some labbing and these matches, I was wrong! I never jived with Nina as much as I did with Anna, but in 8, all those things I didn't like are much smaller factors in her gameplay. Her combos feel easier to pull off, I don't feel like I have to be so technical, and thanks to the few drops of legacy skill I have, I absolutely tore my way through Green ranks! They even sent an Orange ranker just before my Warrior promotion to stop me, but while he slowed me down a bit, there was no stoppin'! Feels good to kick some a$$ sometimes, ya know? Welcome back, Nina! So this is once again the mod by 9876789 that I used with Jun last video, but he released a second a version that is all gold. I thought that made more sense for Nina, but I also found mods that swap hair styles, so gave her Lili's hair as well! Always wanted Lili's hair for Jun, as she would make a perfect Jabami Yumeko if she just had longer hair. Considered a cosplay of that, but then mods arrived, and I didn't need to, lol! Also, started experimenting with "Semi-Potato" stage mods. I do not have the best PC, so this game really makes it work. Get this one for your favorite Tekken gal at the link below! Still experimenting with various mods and tweaks to reduce the load on my computer. I recently found another that really helps! It's called 'Lessened Heat Effects' by Sonny4546, same modder that makes the Semi-Potato stage mods. Heat effects often cause framerate drops for me, so this tweak really reduces their footprint. After the last match in this video, I lost 10 in a row and nearly got demoted. Wasn't worth recording. So, suffice to say, today was not my day. Was one match away from a promotion match, but now I'm one loss away from demotion. We've been here before, but its been a while...hoped to never feel this much like a loser again, but, here we are. Anyway, I'll spare you the pain of 10 losses in a row and just show you the matches I won or at least did ok in. Lot of 0-3's I didn't bother recording. A lot. Sigh. Thank you so much! Alright, so, decided to finally get into using Nina again. Gotta say, she has never felt better! I thought she was weaker in this game, but after some labbing and these matches, I was wrong! I never jived with Nina as much as I did with Anna, but in 8, all those things I didn't like are much smaller factors in her gameplay. Her combos feel easier to pull off, I don't feel like I have to be so technical, and thanks to the few drops of legacy skill I have, I absolutely tore my way through Green ranks! They even sent an Orange ranker just before my Warrior promotion to stop me, but while he slowed me down a bit, there was no stoppin'! Feels good to kick some a$$ sometimes, ya know? Welcome back, Nina! So this is once again the mod by 9876789 that I used with Jun last video, but he released a second a version that is all gold. I thought that made more sense for Nina, but I also found mods that swap hair styles, so gave her Lili's hair as well! Always wanted Lili's hair for Jun, as she would make a perfect Jabami Yumeko if she just had longer hair. Considered a cosplay of that, but then mods arrived, and I didn't need to, lol! Also, started experimenting with "Semi-Potato" stage mods. I do not have the best PC, so this game really makes it work. Gotta say...Ultra Hard is SUPER EASY! There's quite literally no point fighting CPU's if they're not Ghosts. Duly noted. Thankfully, my buddy Arza (formerly he went by Ace) was also around so went a few rounds against them as well. Man, he got GOOD since Tekken 7! From bodypaint, to black tape, to skin tight outfits, I do enjoy the female form, can't lie, but nudity to me, believe it or not, is kinda cringe. I like there to be something left to the imagination. Maybe I'm strange, heh, but just how I prefer it. Anyway, my favorite modder and good friend, 9876789 decided to make a few more mods for Tekken 8. So happy, but, so far, its been all quite risque offerings. No complaints, but hard to use in videos sometimes. He made a few that just work for me, though, like this one. He calls it "Azazel Pasties", and it works for all the girls! Wasn't about to go online with this one, though, lol. So, figured out that some of the in-game ghosts actually wear the right outfit to show the mod, so decided to go with that. Over the course of these 6 matches, I'm pretty sure I got everyone in there. I added some flair to my ladies, and I'm also using 9876789's Half Shredded Ladies mod, which I will probably just leave on going forward. It's the perfect balance, I think! Works for most girls (not Zafina, sadly). I need to go finish Gantz, because I do not remember this exact version of the outfit being in the anime... Its still season 1, and even though Capcom has made some less than intelligent choices with their monetization, new characters releasing is still BIG NEWS! So, decided to finally use one of my Character Rentals that have been sitting around and train against Ed for a few rounds! Man, he's a tough one! Doesn't help that I'm both rusty and have no inkling of the match up, but I also don't think Cammy is the counter-pick for him. Anyway, a little later in the day, seeing there were some nice mods for Juri, Chun Li, and Manon, I decided to go ahead and try Juri again. Actually had a good time with her! She's very limited with modern controls, but still enough moves to kill a level 7 cpu with, lol! Not sure if I'm gonna take her online again or not, but we might go Ed hunting with Cammy later on. ··· ··· ··· ··· Hello again, my friends. As stated before, I don't care if no one watches. I had a great time trying out Tekken 8 last weekend, so I'm going to share all this footage I got. I am looking forward to launch, however. Hopefully the modders don't take too long to make this game more interesting... Anyway! Here's my ranked run with Jun! As the title states, I'm really enjoying the hot mom energy in this game, as both my characters also have sons, who are also in the game! Family is very important over here in Tekken. Just about the entire main cast is related in some way, from blood, to marriage, to adoption, its one family driving all this stuff, if you think about it. We'll see where the plot goes, but of all of them, Jun is officially my favorite, since Kazumi isn't around for 8...I'll miss you, m'lady! For those of you who did watch, thank you so much. There were better places to watch CBT matches, even I know that, so I really appreciate each of you taking a minute to watch here. Makes it all worth the trouble! ··· ··· ··· ··· Hello again, my friends. Spent some time in the hidden lab I mentioned a few videos ago, and now I know Nina's new combos! They're not optimum, but they are proper, complete combos now. The buttons have indeed changed, but a bit of time in the lab really helped! So, now that I know what I'm doing...sort of...decided to go into ranked and see how far I could get in 10-12 matches. Here's the result. Honestly, felt like the one of the smurfs I've always despised for a little while, lol! I don't think everyone found the "lab", because not many folks knew what they were doing. However, now and then I ran into someone who very much did know what they were doing. So, a bit of everything in this one. Enjoy! Got some ranked matches with Jun coming up next. Don't care if no one watches it. I LOVE Jun, since I wasn't distracted by Anna or Lidia (notice my screenname though? Yeah, I'm pining to see her in this new game. Sigh...). ··· ··· ··· ··· Hey again, my friends! So, I tried several characters. Raven, Asuka, Lili, Azucena even. But, the only character, other than Nina, that felt "right" was Jun. So, gonna keep exploring this fine lady, ahem...anyway, learning some combos and buttons for both characters, which you'll start to see here. But, coming up, I did a short ranked run with both ladies and wow...what a time! You'll see that soon. For now, enjoy watching me learn the basics with the old-new girl. xD As I write this, the CBT is winding down. Everyone is stronger in quick matches, but might still do a few rounds before it shuts down. If I get more good footage, I'll of course share it down the road. I put off helping with the harvest this weekend and everyone is pissed at me, lol! So, might be off for a bit after the CBT footage runs out. Hopefully, its enough to tide everyone over. ··· ··· ··· ··· Hello again, my friends. Well, I made an amazing discovery yesterday! There is a lab! It's hidden in the pause menu during online match warm-ups. Just hit Start, or what have you, and scroll down to "Combo Challenges", and there you go, a lab you can practice in! I used the challenges to give me ideas as to what works, then got to grinding out a combo I could actually do. Found out why my old combos don't work with Nina, too! Now I know the proper Tekken 8 buttons, and I also took the time to pick up a new character. Decided to go with Jun, and I gotta say...she's kind of fun! Never liked Asuka, I'll admit, but Jun and Asuka are quite different now. Gonna keep practicing with her. Who knows...perhaps I found my new alt? All I have is Nina right now, and it almost feels less painful to learn and new character than RE-LEARN an old one. If Lidia ever comes out, hope she's close to her Tekken 7 functionality...I doubt it though, considering Nina, lol! Anyway, I stopped fighting because I forgot to write this description up, so now that it's done, I'm going right back in! It's rather annoying...but there's no lab! No practice mode that I've found yet. I have to learn things as I fight. It's been rough, gotta say, but, overall, still having a great time! Got these matches last night, so its still "Day 1" matches. But, did some more this morning, and I think you'll like the next video coming up. Stay tuned! But, your eyes are not deceiving you; WE'RE PLAYING TEKKEN 8!! I posted recently that I didn't get a code. Well...I truly did not get one, however, good friend of the channel and one of the greatest modders ever, 9876789 had an extra code, and they were generous enough to send it over to me. A big thank you to you, my friend! I know you said it was a thank you for showcasing your work, but seriously, this more than makes up for ALL of that! I hope I can show off whatever you make for Tekken 8 as well! THANK YOU! Anyway, calming down a bit here...I scrambled to get the game installed and working. The quality may seem low because all the settings are on medium. Tekken 8 graphics are VERY modern, you could say. Also, since Nina is the only character on this roster I kinda know (other than Paul, but who wants to watch that?), she gets the honor of our first online session! ··· ··· ··· ··· Hey my friends. Been a minute, I know! As I mentioned in a previous video's description, its harvest season around here so time and energy for gaming is on a premium right now. Thankfully, good ole Wumbo has still been at it, and some of you new folks may not remember Artifex, but he was an old sparring buddy back in Tekken. I'll leave a link to the last time Artifex and I hung out. Its been a while, but he was also gracious enough to let me use his matches for videos. And wouldn't you know it, he plays a VERY strong Chun Li! Wumbo picked up Chun recently too, so I thought it would be interesting to see someone who is good at SF6 but new to Chun (Wumbo), and someone who played Chun since launch (Artifex). My personal conclusion is: they're both way better than me, lol! So, much as I wanted to learn Chun myself, I'll leave it to the experts, as I did with Juri. Cammy is still my girl, though, and maybe AKI? I did pay for her, so... Anyway, sorry again for the gap in content. I did warn it would come, but even I was shocked how much time had passed. It was my best performing video EVER, and I'm so glad it went to Wumbo getting to Diamond. For many reasons, a truly momentous event around here, lol! Anyway, as I said in the description of that video, I was inspired by Wumbo to get back to trying to reach Silver Ranks with Cammy. So, I trained for hours against level 8 AI's to make sure I was as sharp as I could be. Feeling confident after 2-0'ing the cpu a few times, I switched over to ranked, ready to get into the trenches and spend the time needed to move up...and 5 straight wins later, I had done it. Felt anti-climactic, really. Did I over-train for Bronze? Hmm. Well, regardless, we did it! Cammy is Silver! Should we keep going for Gold, or try someone new? Thoughts are welcome, but feels good, and underwhelming, all at once. Anyway, enjoy this rather short video of me finally moving up in the new world of Street Fighter 6! But, decided it was time I do a little research and put a little effort into nailing down one or two decent combos with my main. I can spam auto combos all day, but, even for me that gets boring, despite their effectiveness, lol! So, looked up some basic Cammy strings that my old clumsy fingers could maybe learn to do. Well, here's me getting some practice on the first one. Nothing too fancy, but it uses drive rush, and its a good foundation. A stepping stone to bigger, flashier things down the road, ha! But, of course, to make the show a little more palatable to ya'll, found this skin-tight training suit for Cammy to wear. As you can see..."gains" are being made, heh heh. Yes, we're wearing all kinds of 'random' outfits, but these matches aren't from a session or series I've shown before. Basically, over the last week, I was finally able to track down some Homies and we just went at it. No set theme or outfit requirement. My Grandma is doing much better and may be able to come home soon, meaning my schedule will be predictable again. Lately, just been too busy and/or tired to play too many games. But, just last night, I found I has the energy for some battle hub shenanigans. Sat down at a cabinet and waited, and this individual showed up. Played 5 as Blanka, then, they switched characters to Gief and jumped right back on for another 5, and well, you can read the video title. They were a good sport, so GG's to you, roshi! Finally learning how to deal with the DI spam. It's been an infuriating mechanic for me, but, word is its not an issue in higher ranks. So, once I learn to shut down the spam, maybe I'll move up a bit faster. Still, "New Challengers" on Placement Matches, who should be Gold or higher, constantly disrupt my streaks! Hospitals, covid, grandmothers...without getting into detail, I'm dealing with a combination of these things right now. Makes it very difficult to sit down and play fighting games, or any games, these days. ··· ··· ··· ··· Hello, my friends! Apparently, I had learned enough getting to Iron with Juri that I was placed in Iron ranks immediately after Cammy's placement matches. And you would not believe the sweat! I know, its scrub leagues down here, but for me, going through Rookie ranks and learning what works is allowing me to dominate in Iron with Juri. But with Cammy, its starting out 50/50. I'm stuck at Iron 1 - 2, winning a bunch then losing a bunch. It's very similar to my Tekken ranked experience, bringing up a lot of old trauma, lmao! But, still having a good time, so we will persevere! The SF6 mod community is at MAXIMUM output! There's something new every few hours, it seems. Having trouble keeping up, lol! However, I quickly realized the only way to get them is to purchase Fighter Coins or max out everyone's bond level in world tour (thanks for pointing this out, Lonely!), which would take some work. Feeling a bit let down, I went and checked what new mods were available, as I do every day. And low and behold...someone modded the classic costumes over the default outfits for every character! They don't all work (at least some didn't work for me), but most did! Great way to save some money, I say. Just swap out the mod when you want to change outfits! Big thanks to FrancisLouis for doing this! Check it out at the link below! Finally starting to learn some things with Juri, and steadily moving up through the Rookie levels! ··· ··· ··· ··· Hello, hello, and hello again, my friends! I must have done something good in life, because a few of you were kind enough to donate toward me getting a Street Fighter 6 Steam key! You know who you are, and I can't thank you enough! I had so much fun with the Open Beta, more than I imagined I would, so I'm jazzed to be able to keep going with this game! And before you ask, don't worry, I AM NOT quitting Tekken. That is still my number one game and nothing can replace my Lidia. But, I gotta admit...Juri is my Lidia in SF! I'm having a great time learning her and even though I am getting absolutely owned online and can't do any real combos yet, the sting of losing vanishes long before the next match starts. This is an awesome place to do some fighting! Of course, we got mods to show off! Most of the mods out there are for Juri, I've found, so looks like I picked the right character to main! I'll try a few others eventually, but Juri is my girl, no question! This one is actually the same mod, changing to different versions as we go, losing a bit more of the outfit each time, lol! Pretty basic so far, but given some time, the modders over here are gonna bring out some crazy stuff, and I can't wait to show you guys! Enjoy the show, and stay tuned for more. Lidia, Katarina, and Nina were nice enough to model for us today. It's starting to get warm out, so I think its the perfect time to get the ladies new swimsuits, and we have another option coming up for you all to judge. This is unrelated to Tekken, but it kind of reinforces why I am opposed to paid mods in principle. The Devs over at Valheim, of all things, word it perfectly: "We feel that charging money for a mod is against the creative and open spirit of modding itself, and therefore we urge all mod authors to make their mods freely available to all who want to play them. This should include the whole mod, and not just have part of the mod available for free while another part of it costs money. If you want to show your appreciation for a mod author you can of course still support them with a voluntary donation, but we do not want payment to be a requirement to access a mod." This is how it should be with all games. Thank you to the Valheim devs for putting the exact right words to explain my view of this issue, and another thank you to all the Tekken modders who do this hobby correctly.
