Il titolo vuole indicare che, al di lÃ di ciÃ² che abbiamo e di ciÃ² che perdiamo, il primo compito dell'esistenza Ã¨ semplicemente quello di essere sÃ© stessi. In tal senso, il lavoro musicale Ã¨ partito da una improvvisazione di solo basso e solo in una seconda fase ho scritto la composizione per orchestra. Per evocare l'eterno permanere del presente, la scrittura orchestrale segue un movimento circolare che ricorda la lezione di Platone, il quale definiva il movimento degli astri come "l'immagine mobile dell'eterno". L'orchestra in tal senso evoca tale immagine mobile che, idealmente, potrebbe non finire mai. The Time Machine - Annunciazione Questo primo movimento Ã¨ da considerare come una sorta di Ouverture alla Time Machine realizzata grazie all'ideazione dell'architetto Roberto Francesco Cicero. In questa Annunciazione il tema centrale Ã¨ quello di superare il nostro quotidiano rapporto con il tempo, fatto spesso di frammenti slegati tra loro, cercando di evocare, invece, un rapporto piÃ¹ organico e originale con l'essere di ogni cosa. Il testo di Goethe ci riporta ad un'esperienza antica ma sempre presente del rapporto tra uomo e natura. Tale esperienza Ã¨ possibile solo a partire da un tempo organico ritrovato, in cui presente, passato e futuro non sono tre momenti separati Ã¨ inconciliabili, ma sono tre facce di un'unica eterna realtÃ : la compresenza di ogni cosa. In particolare il testo di Goethe, intonato dalla voce di Tania Sighinolfi, esprime l'indissolubile legame dell'uomo con la natura, un legame in cui l'uomo si trova immerso. Il movimento della natura Ã¨ un movimento circolare, cosÃ¬ come Ã¨ circolare la danza attraverso cui l'uomo celebra la Madre terra. La circolaritÃ Ã¨ l'eterno movimento della vita. Un riferimento essenziale per questo movimento Ã¨ stato lo stile compositivo di Salvatore Sciarrino, in particolare il suo inconfondibile modo di tratteggiare il fraseggio dei fiati e degli archi, creando una luce diafana. In effetti, la struttura architettonica della Basilica del Sepolcro, rimandando all'architettura del paradiso celeste costituito secondo cerchi concentrici, mi ha posto nelle condizioni di immaginare, dal punto di vista musicale, quale suono complessivo avrebbe potuto evocare una dimensione come quella del paradiso celeste. Considerando l'architettura della Basilica e la tradizionale rappresentazione del paradiso cosÃ¬ come ci viene meravigliosamente descritta da Dante Alighieri, ho immaginato due movimenti distinti e allo stesso tempo sempre intrecciati, da una parte un costante movimento circolare fatto di luce quasi accecante, dall'altra un movimento di salita e discesa che segue l'orbita circolare della luce, come uno sciame di angeli che, volando costantemente, danza in questo vortice di luce, in modo da realizzare un complessivo movimento a spirale dell'intero brano musicale. Tale spettro esprime la dimensione sacra della figura di Cristo, fatta di luce interiore e delicata. Per rendere invece la passione di Cristo, la sua dimensione umana, ho provato ad integrare lo spettro originale con dei colori piÃ¹ aspri, prodotti in particolare con microtonalitÃ . Nella composizione, quindi, convivono, da un punto di vista musicale, le due dimensioni della figura di Cristo, quella divina e quella umana. Le ultime battute del movimento, come in una sorta di viaggio senza interruzione, introducono alla seconda tappa delle Sette Chiese, ossia alla Cripta. Per ogni composizione ho cercato di far emergere una voce solista che assumesse il ruolo di canto della chiesa corrispondente. Per la Chiesa del Crocifisso Ã¨ il violino ad assumere il ruolo di canto del Crocifisso stesso. In questo brano musicale ho cercato di far vibrare l'effetto di una mia profonda e intensa meditazione in cui ho sentito il mio essere libero sia nella gioia sia nella sofferenza. Il titolo vuole indicare che, al di là di ciò che abbiamo e di ciò che perdiamo, il primo compito dell'esistenza è semplicemente quello di essere sé stessi. In tal senso, il lavoro musicale è partito da una improvvisazione di solo basso e solo in una seconda fase ho scritto la composizione per orchestra. Questo terzo movimento evoca il senso di un passato che permane nella forma di un ricordo fiabesco. Il passato evoca nostalgia, una dimensione del tempo che rimane custodita nella forma del ricordo, spesso sfocato e frammentato. Non ricordiamo mai semplicemente un evento, ma, ancora di più, lo spettro emotivo che quell'evento a suscitato in noi. Nel ricordo non facciamo altro che raccontare noi stessi. Questo racconto credo che non sia altro che il nostro presente i cui colori dipingono il quadro che costituisce quello che sempre siamo. Questo secondo movimento evoca il senso di un eterno presente. Seguendo la lezione dell'essere di Emanuele Severino, si tratta di pensare il presente non come un fugace momento destinato a sparire nel nulla, ma come il luogo in cui passato e futuro sempre si incontrano. Per evocare l'eterno permanere del presente, la scrittura orchestrale segue un movimento circolare che ricorda la lezione di Platone, il quale definiva il movimento degli astri come "l'immagine mobile dell'eterno". L'orchestra in tal senso evoca tale immagine mobile che, idealmente, potrebbe non finire mai. The Time Machine - Annunciazione Questo primo movimento è da considerare come una sorta di Ouverture alla Time Machine realizzata grazie all'ideazione dell'architetto Roberto Francesco Cicero. In questa Annunciazione il tema centrale è quello di superare il nostro quotidiano rapporto con il tempo, fatto spesso di frammenti slegati tra loro, cercando di evocare, invece, un rapporto più organico e originale con l'essere di ogni cosa. Il testo di Goethe ci riporta ad un'esperienza antica ma sempre presente del rapporto tra uomo e natura. Tale esperienza è possibile solo a partire da un tempo organico ritrovato, in cui presente, passato e futuro non sono tre momenti separati è inconciliabili, ma sono tre facce di un'unica eterna realtà: la compresenza di ogni cosa. In particolare il testo di Goethe, intonato dalla voce di Tania Sighinolfi, esprime l'indissolubile legame dell'uomo con la natura, un legame in cui l'uomo si trova immerso. Il movimento della natura è un movimento circolare, così come è circolare la danza attraverso cui l'uomo celebra la Madre terra. La circolarità è l'eterno movimento della vita. Programma di scrittura musicale: Finale Librerie di suoni: Garritan e EastWest Anno di realizzazione 2013 Dante Alighieri, Commedia, Paradiso, Canto XXXI, versi 1-24: In forma dunque di candida rosa mi si mostrava la milizia santa che nel suo sangue Cristo fece sposa; ma l’altra, che volando vede e canta la gloria di colui che la ’nnamora e la bontà che la fece cotanta, sì come schiera d’ape, che s’infiora una fiata e una si ritorna là dove suo laboro s’insapora, nel gran fior discendeva che s’addorna di tante foglie, e quindi risaliva là dove ’l suo amor(e) sempre soggiorna. Le facce tutte avean di fiamma viva, e l’ali d’oro, e l’altro tanto bianco, che nulla neve a quel termine arriva. Quando scendean nel fior, di banco in banco porgevan de la pace e de l’ardore ch’elli acquistavan ventilando il fianco. Basilica del Sepolcro - Le Sette Chiese (Dante Alighieri, candida rosa) Basilica del Sepolcro è la terza delle tre composizioni dedicate alle Sette Chiese di Bologna. Anche per questa composizione è stato usato come stile compositivo quello dello spettralismo in modo sempre libero, in particolare lo spettro sonoro è stato costruito partendo dalla nota fondamentale "mi". Un riferimento essenziale per questo movimento è stato lo stile compositivo di Salvatore Sciarrino, in particolare il suo inconfondibile modo di tratteggiare il fraseggio dei fiati e degli archi, creando una luce diafana. In effetti, la struttura architettonica della Basilica del Sepolcro, rimandando all'architettura del paradiso celeste costituito secondo cerchi concentrici, mi ha posto nelle condizioni di immaginare, dal punto di vista musicale, quale suono complessivo avrebbe potuto evocare una dimensione come quella del paradiso celeste. Considerando l'architettura della Basilica e la tradizionale rappresentazione del paradiso così come ci viene meravigliosamente descritta da Dante Alighieri, ho immaginato due movimenti distinti e allo stesso tempo sempre intrecciati, da una parte un costante movimento circolare fatto di luce quasi accecante, dall'altra un movimento di salita e discesa che segue l'orbita circolare della luce, come uno sciame di angeli che, volando costantemente, danza in questo vortice di luce, in modo da realizzare un complessivo movimento a spirale dell'intero brano musicale. Anche per questa composizione è stato usato come stile compositivo quello dello spettralismo in modo sempre libero. In particolare, considerando l'ultima nota della composizione precedente (Chiesa del Crocifisso), che annuncia il movimento successivo, ho costruito uno spettro armonico a partire dalla nota fondamentale di re. La composizione è un elogio della sacralità della terra. Infatti la Cripta delle Sette Chiese dà l'impressione di penetrare nelle profondità della terra stessa. Se quindi il movimento precedente mette in gioco l'umanità del sacro, in questo movimento è la terra stessa che assume i tratti del sacro. In tal senso, molta importanza è stata data alle percussioni e più in generale al registro grave dell'orchestra. ··· ··· ··· ··· Composizione per orchestra Di Francesco Cardone Librerie di suoni: Garritan e EastWest Chiesa del Crocifisso - Le Sette Chiese (spettralismo) Chiesa del Crocifisso è la prima delle tre composizioni dedicate alle Sette Chiese di Bologna. Per queste composizioni ho scelto di impiegare lo stile compositivo dello spettralismo in modo però libero. Nello specifico, per la prima composizione ho creato uno spettro sonoro a partire dalla nota fondamentale di la. Tale spettro esprime la dimensione sacra della figura di Cristo, fatta di luce interiore e delicata. Per rendere invece la passione di Cristo, la sua dimensione umana, ho provato ad integrare lo spettro originale con dei colori più aspri, prodotti in particolare con microtonalità. Nella composizione, quindi, convivono, da un punto di vista musicale, le due dimensioni della figura di Cristo, quella divina e quella umana. Le ultime battute del movimento, come in una sorta di viaggio senza interruzione, introducono alla seconda tappa delle Sette Chiese, ossia alla Cripta. Per ogni composizione ho cercato di far emergere una voce solista che assumesse il ruolo di canto della chiesa corrispondente. Per la Chiesa del Crocifisso è il violino ad assumere il ruolo di canto del Crocifisso stesso. ··· ··· ··· ··· Composition for orchestra by Francesco Cardone Pitch 432 Hz Sleep IIα (woods) - 432 Hz This work was conceived as the echo of a dream experience which traces a sensory-cognitive path marked by four stages: 1) open space - the sea, 2) woods, 3) clearing, 4) cave. This path aims to delve into ever deeper layers of our own unconscious; if the first stage, in fact, introduces to that state of drowsiness which opens up to the experience of our subconscious, the fourth reaches the deepest layers of our unconscious. After reaching a sort of zero point (cave), this dreamlike journey follows an inverse path that retraces the same previous stages with retrograde motion. In this way a sort of symbolic experience of our dream dimension takes place which takes place in our sleep. The entire work of Sleep is divided into eight stages, the last four of which are the inverse of the first, in turn each stage is divided into two movements, thus reaching the total number of sixteen movements which trace a path lasting just over seven hours.
